QUOTE(apis @ Jan 1 2009, 12:46 PM) For sure they have a provision for vegetarian meals. So,what i mean that all tbhe passenger only eat vegetarian only coz want to respect them.No meat is allowed? Quote from BooN...."In regards to food, it's best not to bring "tapaued" food on board and eat. Especially those non-halal as it's disrespectful." It must be a standard that applies to all passengers. We can't forbid non-halal food because some passengers are non-halal. The same goes with non-beef, vegetarian etc. |

QUOTE(pucman @ Jan 1 2009, 12:48 PM) Quote from BooN.... Heck don't complain to me....complain to the authorities..."In regards to food, it's best not to bring "tapaued" food on board and eat. Especially those non-halal as it's disrespectful." It must be a standard that applies to all passengers. We can't forbid non-halal food because some passengers are non-halal. The same goes with non-beef, vegetarian etc. If you think that you're good enough than just bring it. It's only my opinion. And re-read your title. First off you're asking a question and next thing you know, you're correcting every little suggestion one have thrown at you... Bravo for your sincerity. Good luck in life. Btw, even if you board any other airlines; to my knowledge, non would allowed "tapau" food on board. The best is still cookies and breads. (i.e. dry foods) It's more towards domestic flight that is more lenient. So since now you've mentioned that it's an international flight, good luck trying to clear the checkpoint with "tapaued" food. Remember to post pics if you does manage. Added on January 1, 2009, 2:25 pm QUOTE(pucman @ Jan 1 2009, 12:31 PM) Do you know that eating beef is disrespectful to hindus and certain chinese buddhist ? The problem is you're flying with a M'sian based airline and clearing M'sian immigration.Do you know that eating meat is disrespectful to vegetarians ? So why the double standards ? btw, comes to think of it, never recall airlines serving beef also.
Talking about MAS olden days where they still serve food for domestic flights. Taken Cathay and JAL before but can't recall beef on their plane. Chicken or fish is the common choice. |

QUOTE(b00n @ Jan 1 2009, 12:23 PM) Who says they don't allow water on board? mm talking bout liquid based substance , i think it's now limited to something like 100ml only rite? (international regulation)If it's domestic flight, one can always bring a bottle of water on board. But if it's international than yes....water is not allowed on board. yup, snacks and biscuits should be fine |

QUOTE(b00n @ Jan 1 2009, 04:44 PM) eh mm thought is MAX 100ml of any substance liquid - gel/water/juices/etcthis was due to the 9/11 thingy, that's why u can see the checkpoint where those drinking/mineral water exceeding 100ml, has to be disposed off, so either one drinks till the 100ML limits, or simply disposed it. |

It's normal to smuggler abit of food & water into the plane. I did brought in snack & biscuits and for drinks, if u managed to bypass the security, better. If no, I normally tapau 2 bottles of water from the conv shop in the departure hall. & drink in plane...BTW, the combo meal at RM12 consist of either Chinese tea/pepsi & nasi lemak/nasi goreng..is worth the money you spent.. the nasi lemak is damn good & the OSK green tea is refilleable numerous times..so if u finish the drink just ask the stewardess to top-up or u DIY.
BTW, I'm thinking to merge this thread to the existing AA..pucman u dun mind? This post has been edited by stimix: Jan 1 2009, 05:18 PM |

yup that's why there's a MAX limit of 100ml of any liquid substance.
I once saw an indon lady being told off by the securities to remove all the perfume bottles, there's like hundreds of them, and she frantically tugged them into the checked in luggage |
