I get following quotation, is it too expensive? Your advise is very much appreciated.

1. To supply labour and material to install flatboard plaster
ceiling for whole house area: RM 3 .00/SQFT

2. To supply labour and material to install L-BOX plaster
ceiling for lighting purpose:RM 15.00/FT

In my opinion, quite pricey.

Or maybe his workmanship is great and better?

I had just done my plaster ceiling last week. My hse is double story corner with around 3000 sqft build up. Design is mix of flat/downlight and light box, depend on ceiling shape. 2 suppliers from Lowyat site quoted RM 77XX and RM 55XX each. So much different!!! So please get at least 2 quotes.

Date to complete also big different, one said 2 weeks and another one just need 1 week.

Off course I go with cheaper & faster one: And he completed it in 2 days!!! All worker are chinese and workmanship is good too. really superman.

If leaking is fix, repaint the ceiling after dry up. Provided the board is not damage.

No choice but to investigate where is the leaking then get specialist to fix it. My car porch also having same issue and still cant fix it as it is raining season. Raining everyday & my plaster ceiling paint start to peel off....

Let it dry take few weeks maybe full week in hot season, no hole / out of shape is OK.

I had this problem just after i move in, my neighbor renovation time, during changing roof time, the worker did not cover properly and water was slip into my house, and wet the plaster ceiling and my flooring. Luck it was not too bad.

i just repaint after it dry up for one week.
