you may try troubleshoot by connect directly without router to identify whether your router setting or your ps3 has problem.

if direct connection to the modem no problem, then your ps3 is fine, but remember to adjust manually of your ps3 system clocks if your ps3 is the "big fat" model.

that would means your router settings need to be adjust. (read the manual of your ps3 or your router to adjust the correct settings)

try not to share your internet connection with torrent downloader, it will caused your ps3 lost connection.

Hi guys, I have a question to ask regarding upnp.

I find that when I connect to the internet, I can sometimes get upnp and at other times I could not. Restarting the modem router can sometimes help, but it seems like a temp solution. The fact that I could sometimes get upnp means the settings on both router and ps3 are ok. - i think.

I am using D-link 2640T. . wondering if anybody has the answer to this question. NAT is type 2

If u have alredi enabled UPNP in both router and PS3, u should always be able to get UPNP without any problem

Hey guys I just recently upgraded to 4MBPS but Streamyx replaced my TMNET router and TP-Link wireless modem with their own Riger DB-108 wireless modem. For some reason my NAT type is Type 2 moderate, even though shouldn't it be Type 1 open? Before I had my upgrade done it was type 1 open. If I try to enable UpnP it says it is unavailable.

Is there anyway to change the NAT to type 1 by enabling UpnP? Or is it not needed to be type 1 open. I tested it on MW2 on Monday and it worked very well, but I would prefer type 1 so all help is appreciated. Thank you

I'm also using the TMNet-supplied Riger DB108-WL, but I can't get my MW2 MP to work. It keeps displaying "Connecting to Matchmaking server..." even after 15 minutes of waiting. I had no problems connecting to PSN and I have a NAT2 connection. I have tried to do port forwarding but it doesn't help. What are the settings to get MW2 working? Many thanks!

recently the holy grail for fixing psn connection is by changing the mtu into 1486, both in ps3 and in the modem settings

if got issues with fragment issues, try adjusting MTU within ps3 network settings... try play around from 1470-1486...

using some D-Link router. The antenna like 13cm. Might be the cause of the low signal
