So, how do the non-participant of the war against BOB feels about the recent RA Titan loss? I was there, on grid...but it never loaded in time for me to shoot

They tried to lure us by sending 1 Carrier in a safespot for our probers to find it. We counter them and they took the bait instead

Do you guys salvage & loot your L4 missions? I notice of late, the loot is mostly T1 junk, and definitely not worth salvaging for the amount of time needed to loot and salvage the returns is not there.

What do you guys think?

i salvage the wrecks for the rig parts so since i'm salvaging might as well do the looting loh

As in some screenshots, think CAOD should have some posted, i don't have any since my grid wasn't loaded when the Titan is being killed. But, Goons tried to do a fail move again before DT today...deployed 5 brand new shinny towers in F-T without cover/fuel. All 5 towers were killed after DT

Just curious, what is the criteria you are looking for in a PVP pilot?

The thing about all applying together is that some might get rejected and some might go through...so if you're planning to play togehter after that, you have to accept the fact not all will go through.

Applicants to RKK will need to have PVP experience, stats on KB (at least some), the ability to answer our interview questions and also your skill point allocation in your skill tree. Of course having SP in non-related field for 0.0 warfare will be useless, then comes the ability to fly BS/Dictors (minimum) with T2 guns and the most important part is to submit your full API keys. We use them to monitor your skills and scanning through your wallet for possible spy activities.

Once your interview is done and application is accepted, you will go through a 14days trial period whereby your main objective is to participate in ALL ops as much as possible with KB stats to back you up. The ability to listen to orders and following them without question will be important, lastly...you'll be required to be on mIRC + TS at all times when playing.

And most importantly, you must understand and remember you wont have much time to do any kind of money making activities in our region. You can do it with alts somwhere else when there is NO ops going on. Must be self sustainable and supplying of own PVP ships to 0.0 space is vital. More details will be given once you've successfully join RKK and be part of our ranks

ok first up patch is screwed... for those who cant login......follow these steps...meh i copy from forums

1) go to C drive
2) go to documents & settings folder
3) go to all users folder
4) make sure u can see hidden files n folders thingy enabled (its under tools then folder options n then under view tab .. make sure u got view hidden files n folders enabled)
5) go to application data folder (its a hidden folder - cheeky buggers)
6) find ccp folder n rename to ccp1 (or watever takes ur fancy or u can erase it apparantely)
7) startup ur eve program n all shuld work fine....or so i've been told (i followed it n it works for me )

Those who have settings in EVE folder (/END/LUA:OFF)
GO FOR C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\CCP
and rename or delete it.
Or search for ANY folders named CCP in you application data for ALL USERS on your computer.

yealah since the trinity patch the windows got their own upgraded AI to go where they feel like going n never listen to you anymore ler ... n yes its REALLY REALLY REALLY ANNOYING...

A patch to fix a patch that fixes one single login issue.

Ok, granted, the second patch is to fix the autopatcher, but c'mon... after boot.ini, what else can go wrong?

hmmm wat else can go wrong.. a patch that fixes login issues causes almost the whole player base to have problems...boot.ini gone missing in previous patch...hmm i can think of a shitload like isk in wallet gone, faction mods, all ships gone, waaahhh lost SP that ccp will refuse to acknowledge, eve patch wipes out ur hard disk, dan getting rape..ooops that oredi happen a few times....errrr walan the list i think can go on 200 pages then the moderators will have to start eve-o v3 liao

That's awesome! The minute we saw MC fielding those ships, we had the feeling of 50-50 where MC can loose. Of course we're also hoping for them to loose the match, while cheering for your team

JUMP FREIGHTERS IN TRINITY 1.1

Hi there,
With Trinity we introduced "Jump Freighters", ships designed to be the ultimate low security and 0.0 transport ships. As T2 hulls, they were only going to be available through invention and being capital ships, they were bound to be expensive.

The initial idea was to make them like the normal T1 freighters but:

With Jump drives
30% of the total T1 cargo capacity
Increased hit points, a 20% increase across the board (hull, armor, shields)
A bit faster and more agile
Jump freighters were also unique in that they were the only capital ship that could use star gates, allowing them to enter high security space freely.

So what failed?

Since they were supposedly the ultimate low security and 0.0 transport ships why isn't everyone zooming around in one now? There were other more enticing alternatives to the jump freighters, such as the Rorqual and cargo hold fitted dreadnoughts (shivers). The jump freighters just were just too expensive and the bang wasn't worth the buck.

Making them more attractive

As jump freighters don't have any slots it was pretty straight forward to "boost" them. Essentially there were just a few things we could tinker with. Increased cargo hold, better survivability, range boost on the jump drive, decrease fuel consumption or more agility to align faster at gates.

In the end we decided to bestow upon them:


A 25% bonus to their base cargo hold capacity
More agility, by changing the 5% velocity bonus to an agility bonus
More survivability, by making the 10% hull hit point bonus, also apply to shield and armor
A decreased fuel cost by increase the jump fuel need per level bonus to 10%
We also made them a bit easier to manufacture, increasing the max production runs on their blueprints to 10 runs.

So why didn't we give it an increased jump range?

Moving transport ships in EVE has been slow; they are generally less agile, slower in warp etc. On normal freighter runs, it's always the freighter that is holding back the pace of the gang. Since jumping is instantaneous, our way of slowing down jump freighters is by decreasing their jump range, forcing ships that are jumping with them as support to take shorter leaps. We think this it is a fine and fair compromise.

In conclusion

With the cargo hold of jump freighters reaching up to 367.000 mģ, the increased survivability and lower jump fuel consumption after these changes we believe they will become more popular. Of course they are still a very role specific and expensive ship should be considered a tool for corporations and alliances rather than individual players.

I am seriously thinking of trying out this game via Steam since they have the 21 day trial period now.

My concern is how is the latency to the servers from Malaysia? Specifically I am at Penang using PenangFon service. Anyone using this service has acceptable play experience?

Also, is it very tough for newbie to gain a foothold?

Awesome. At least they didn't nerf the rorq or dreads. Can't wait to see what Cald buffs are coming. Eagle, Moa and Ferox will probably get +1 turret slot. Might make them useful heh. Zed loves his Eagle, it's all over his killboard, I'm sure he'd be happy. And Amarr ships? C'mon, does anyone care?

We have players in Penang, KL, Miri, some ulu place in Johor, some even more ulu place in Sabah called KK and plenty others. We have our neighbours in Singapore too. Given that the servers are half a world away, you'd see some latency occasionally, but most of us enjoy decent connections, and the lag's mainly from the server load. As long as you're not in Jita, you'll be okay.

Newbs do find the steep learning curve hard, but it's pretty rewarding once you're on your own. Join the 'kopitiam' chat for help, most of us are on there. Basically, if you liked the Homeworld game style and the Privateer mechanics, you'd find yourself comfortable with this one.

Monkey: PenangFon is an awesome fiberoptics broadband company, wish my place is available with such service (stupid ex-pat rejected it due to previous f***-ups by other companies...phobia). My friend is one of the sharholder or rather, high management to PenangFon...so i know what they're doing. Definately much better than Streamyx.

As to lag, for now if you're not part of some massive PVP organization, you'll be fine. Take time to learn the game, don't rush or you wont like it.

I had a caldari jammer...they just had shit tons of ECCM.Hardly gotten any jams off , only in the first few mintues , after that vargur went down i gotten 0 jams.Which is kind of good anyway , no tank = pop fast.

I'll be using my alt, the name is Daniel Tee, look around in Penirgman. Feel free to hot drop 70 or so carriers. The Dan Tee Fatty-Obelisk-Dildo should be able to tank you bobbits.
