hmm sony cr35g looks cool but i dunt know why its so expensive.

acer 4920g has 250 gb compared to vaio only 200
acerhas ati2400 xt compared to vaio only ati x2300

Sony is so expensive because of its brand name and build quality. Acer always offers laptops with high performance/price ratio, but many people do not like Acer because of their build quality as well.

Well, you can forget about the M1730. I'd bet you want a high performance laptop since you asked about the M1730. Unless you really need to carry your laptop around often, with that kind of a budget, why not consider a laptop + Desktop, In this case, perhaps a EEEpc for less than 2k and 5k for a desktop comes with very very good specs.

sony you are paying extra for the name vaio and brand sony
personally i dislike sony coz not strong enough for me ( the spec ) compare to dell with same spec and at cheaper price

lol.. asus also ok.. depends on which model.. their gaming series also ok..

1st : the overall spec + OS
2nd : the size or weight or design
3rd : the material of each lappy
4th : price n most important thing is which one u like more............for me, i'm very satisfy buying my hp dv even i can get dell for higher spec with a little topup because when i did the comparing that time, fall in love with hp dv.....................n i dont really need higher spec also...................
