Hey Guys, the FS scene seems a bit quiet nowadays, believe besides the weather, some bros are busy with their work also.....
Something to share amid the quiet period....went to measure the "newly" caught fellow(the one caught when Viper was in town), he is also ard 7+mm but when compared with Titan, he seems abit smaller, realize his arm is short for his size..

Size : 7mm +
Quite a big eater, always good appetite and still going strong... Here's a recent match with one of my spar... injured his right arm during the match but has recovered since...phew...enjoyz...

Yo bro, not too sure if Titan is in good condition for any matches... he seems very weak and has no appetite.....refuse to eat... not sure what happened.... trying to nurse him back to health....
Anyway, seems PCK has caught a L size... congrats bro, hope to meet you soon for some matches(maybe not for Titan...Justice instead...? )
And ya... Monster is still ard... although cant really climb on the sides, he's still eating well and can fight...come Sunday will be 4 months liao...

that was really a find. it must have been a pretty large leave to house so many fs inside...something like an apartment with rooms. hehe.

Just tracking this genus is giving us an idea of how certain islands/countries were once closely joined together.
Didn't u take some pictures of the surrounding where u caught the T.sub?
seems getting a male is pretty hard for other species of Thiania. Among all kakis in this forum, the one from Cameron was the only male of another genus that we found.

I didn't spend enough time there. I only had 5 mins between touristy activities. I'm sure if given more time I would have found a male. The park I went to showed a lot of potential for T. subs.
I need to make a return trip there at some point.

BTW, I don't think the male from Cameron Highlands was a T. sub. It's some other type of Thiania.

Justice is a strong FS. From the fight videos, the spar FS looks like partial chop/chop.
Very good fight and the video is clear

If FS refuse to eat could be
because its teeth injured during fight
trying to neutralize other FS poison
bored of the same type of food?
sick, old, etcs..

Was still talking about him.... and he RIP on Sunday morning, exactly 4 months since the day i caught him on 14 Nov 09.... He's the longest FS i have ever kept but well... that's the circle of life...

Ya Bro.. was thinking that he might have injured during one of the fights... didn't eat anything today.... not sure if he can pull through, but can still say he's active though..huh...
Justice is strong, can feel his impact when he jumps or chop other FS during fights, he became partial chop and the spar FS didn't pull through, he might have been poisoned during the fight cause kana bitten at the backside...left with only Justice who can really fight now...haha....

RIP Monster. Sizeable chop FS and have a nice pale brown colour.
You managed to keep Monster for 4 months.. u really good in taking care of FS.
Keep it up.

Maybe you can try get some fresh leaves and let Titan drink more water if he dun eat much.

hi, im 13 n i'm interested in FS as i hav be in this sport fr bout a year or so.
but after a heavy rain,places which i discover, the FS disappear.
and sometimes i gt weird FS n i'm confused by the looks too.
so pls leave the places any of u had hunt.THANKS

I think the T. subs in Hawaii probably arrived at the island via human transport (i.e. boats delivering flora) from Asia. It's the common mode of transfer for most spiders. Web weavers often travel in crates and boxes from warehouse to warehouse.

The jumping spider site shows how many species of Thiania there are. It would be awesome to get the less common ones found and photographed.

i stay in the north-west,woodlands.

u gt any FS.....i have 1...

i used to own about 6 males n 8 females bt they all died.
