Mon evening, after hunting with Simone & Ura, went to Trevally's for matches.
Simone caught an L-size on a rainy day when we "raced" the dark clouds to a "non-raining" area.

Recorded these matches :

Tues evening, after hunting with Simone & Ura, went to Trevally's for 2nd Day matches :

Simone's Yishun was quite a fighter!!! He was undefeated!!!

The most capable fighters in the M-Size category for Trevally's kakis group
are Simone's Yishun, Trevally's Lancer and Ura's BukitPanjang.
Hopefully, Simone's L-size Rain will be able to challenge the L-size FS from Seng's kakis group!!

Good luck and good hunting to all FS bros!!!

Bro jong, thanks for uploading the videos promptly. Too many and I guess some of them got mixed up. Guys, I suggest next time when starting the match, we announce the competitors and the voice would be captured by the camera. From there, its easy for the person who upload the videos to identify the matches.

bRO...The 1st few persons who contacted me and meet up to Hunt for FS is Ksiao and You..Now that Ksiao is Busy and not contactable..i certainly don;t wish the same will end up to you. I rather lost a L-Size Fs then to lost a Spider Kaki.....KSIAO WHERE ARE YOU...Dun MIA..REPORT BACK TO CAMP ..Please contact us if not Sergent Ken will charge you for AWOL.

You are someone who certainly know how to take care of FS, look at how you take care of TFM, SEA , Joy...they are all healthy and strong even after 1-2month of your care...

technique, determination or patience is one issue...actually luck play a part too..right time, right place, right moment..

Bro edwin, you are the senior SG member in this forum!!
You cannot give up the sport and go fishing!!
TFM, so well-kept by you is a legend. i don't think any of the present L-size could defeat him, if he was in his prime.
Surely an L-size will soon be in your care again......

i'm using a new fs size classification which i propose to share here:

small S, small-medium SM, medium M, bigger-medium BM,
smaller-large SL, medium-large ML and finally large L.

S is the smallest adult fs that we can catch, sometimes we come
across these very small kangs when hunting, L is the biggest we have caught - terminator, tfm, robocop, hulk, alien.
ML are megatron, predator, general, seng's 2 current biggest fs, vincent's & ah gim's biggest fs.....
SL we had batman, sea, laser....
BM are currently bukitpanjang (aka moli), lancer, jong's no.1,2,3,......
M are at present yishun, sx4, ura's gostanpow,......
SM & M are the most common, these are the sizes we usually get when we flip a leaf.....

rain is either ML or L, i'm not sure. have to compare him with alien.....

Good Luck and good hunting to all FS bros!!!!

Hahaha.....whoohoo.....thats the right spirit man...Keep going, unless there are no leaves or no more fs (til they extinct like dinosaurs. hahaha)

Ok, first of all....BTL is an officer rclxms.gif ..he should rally all of us...hahaha
secondly, Ksiao...u better show up or return call....i know your address, or else in the soon absence of our Officer BTL, i will send fs Military Police to bring u back to 'camp'... rclxm9.gif , let u kena tortured by SOF trainings, u dun know how tedious? ask Ah Seng...he will tell u how it was carried out...

Coming December looks like a good time for K.L trip....only afraid of the rain(not Simone L size hor), its rainy season, so everywhere may be just not so ideal....what u guys think? any date?

Thirdly, Bro Edwin, Look at your Avatar, thats an awesome shot of Trsfm....remember how u cheered for him when he had his first tough match against Hulk? and match after match from Trsfm wasnt easy(4 from Hulk, Ferocious, Batman, and numerous Suppaos etc) but u pulled thru with him.....and how surprised and shocked when he brought u that Champ title.....Trsfm if not wrong, holds the longest King title....and that was under your care.....for more than 3 months.....his last defeat wasnt your mistake, its age.....he was old and cant really fight anymore, but he still put up one very wonderful last match for your record...u shld cheer for him.

to refresh your memory......
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=fish14.../23/YhoFpA0I1vY

so, i shall see u this Sunday, usual place....10am....no fishing on Saturday nite ok? hahahaha...Termy and Trsfm's offspring are looking for u...
and the rest of bros, can u guys make it? if can.....please come....u guys know where.....

Wow.. lotsa new FS fight videos.
Thanks for all the SG fs bros to keep this old past time hobby alive. You guys certainly bring back the past FS fight glory to the current days and make it even more exciting with more clear long power fight videos. rclxms.gif Koppao, if you feel dun have much time to take care FS, can pass to other FS kakis or let go the FS at good habitat place.
You are among the first few SG FS kakis tat join us in this FS forum and make FS experience in SG more exciting. Later, more and more SG FS kakis join put in alot effort and time to make FS experience alive! Thank you to all of you all SG guys.

Sometimes after play FS too long, dun have strong/fierce FS, dun have enuf time to take care of them, or dun have new place 2 hunt fs - we will feel abit demotivated.. maybe its better to take a break for a while.. later when have the mood den can join back play FS. I also stop play fs for months already, dun have any new place to hunt for good quality FS and lack of time but i still read this FS forum daily.. i see you guys there in SG still have many FS and go hunt FS 2gther, makes me feel the FS experience is still very much alive.

Today i'm off, so decided to go SG Congkak and Hutan Lipur Sg Congkak to enjoy green nature.. actually i wanted to check out the FS there more.. brows.gif
SG here means RIVER.. not SINGAPORE ok? tongue.gif Congkak is a Malay traditional game consist of many holes and small stones to fill into the holes.
Congkak River have alot stones along its river .. tats why why its named as Congkak River.

I alwys wanted to go there 2 hunt FS since last time but don't have any kakis and cant find any good reason to go there.
Frankly speaking, i've never been to these place bfr eventho i'm staying in KL and roughly know where the place is located.
I went out alone at afternoon around 1.30pm. SG congkak is located about 40km away from KL town and very close to Sg Gabai Waterfall. Drove and reach there in about 35 mins only. Check out the pics.

SG Congkak resort entrance.
Attached Image

Hanging bridge and wooden bridge, looks fragile .. i took pic from the bridge.. wrong steps sure fell into river liao.
Attached Image Attached Image

Attached Image Attached Image

Congkak River

Attached Image Attached Image

Picnic hut and chalet. Cheap rental, only Rm5 for picnic hut, chalet abt rm20 pernite

Attached Image Attached Image

Open space garden. Good for team building games and activies.

Attached Image Attached Image

Further up Congkak River is the Hutan Lipur Sg Congkak. Its a forest reserve, the Congkak River flow from deep inside the forest.
Only RM1 entrance fee into this forest reserve. The lady there told me if follow the normal road track about 2km deep into the forest, if follow the jungle trek...can go for the
3D2N package , trek till deep into the forest and can see waterfall but very far la..

Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

Inside this forest reserve, Congkak River water more clear and flow much faster

Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

Attached Image Attached Image

Some picnic place, rest area and chalet. RM60 pernite. Kinda scary sleep here at night in the middle of forest... dunno at night wat may come out from the forest leh. sweat.gif There oso have several package like jungle trekking deep into the forest to waterfall area and jungle camping,

Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

Start looking for leaves which might have FS .
I only checked the leaves nearby the road track area only, dun dare to go alone into the forest small track lane..later if get lost sure big problem.

Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

Try to use my FS hunting skill and start check the big leaves .. saw one big spider... but not FS.
Attached Image

Keep searching.. and after some time found a big size spider and a small one .. its from other thiania sub species..alot shinning green stripes. Kinda exotic type.
Attached Image .

Then its start to rain heavily.. vmad.gif Its about 4.30pm already and the area in the forest looks like almost 7pm..Dark and spooky. unsure.gif
I was already almost reach the end part of the road track in the forest and if i turn back.. i need to walk/run 2km back! Pack my stuff and took shelter at a nearby rest area but since the rain doesnt seem goin to stop soon.. and its quite dark & late ady so i decided to brave the rain and run..
Man.. i'm soaked wet..lucky i wear jacket type of clothes and hat to cover my head. Think it took me about 15-20 mins to get out from the reserve forest. Cant run 2 fast, later if slip might fell into Congkak river.

When i reach my car at the car park.. i saw a young couple inside their car doing project .. brows.gif The girl saw me and got a shocked and quickly get back to her seat position. Earlier she was on the guy seat place.

I wipe off the rain water and drove back home.. damn stuck in jam and reach KL around 6.30pm.

Ok.. heres the other Thiania subspecies i caught from Hutan Lipur Sg Congkak.
Should be the same type like Mindstorm caught bfr last time at other forest reserve area.

Big ? I think this one is a female. Brown skin colour.
Attached Image Attached Image Attached Image

Attached Image

The other spider. Small size. Have darker skin but same striking green stripes. Looks like a male but its arm damn short.

Attached Image Attached Image

Attached Image Attached Image

Both FS face off each other
Arm bend it fighting stance.!!

Too bad, the smaller size spider kecut, ran away after see the bigger spider approach.

Hiaz... too bad i din managed to catch any King Kong size FS at forest reserve 2day.. Hope will have better luck next time.
Anyway, i enjoyed myself seeing nature beauty and have fun experience explore new places. Its the adventure that thrill me except running in the forest during heavy rain la.. tongue.gif

Mindstorm, you interested to get the thiania subspecies spider?
I can give it to u. Maybe you can try breed them.

Hi guys,

So nice to know that there's still got pple catching fs which hardly known by the younger generation.
In my olden days where I stayed in Kim tian road, I used to hunt fs in the forest area (aka monkey hill) near SGH. Lotsa of good size & quality fs.
Too bad I can't go fs hunting. All I can do to is enjoy those fs videos that you guys had uploaded in youtube. Thanks bros. notworthy.gif

Btw, had you guys tried Clementi park. Over there got lotsa CB plants. Most of fs there are suppao type.

Here's the map of Clementi Park.

Happy Hunting biggrin.gif

It medium size only. Smaller than the Giant Bu last time i caught bfr.
The smaller size spider i think its a male coz it have white face and abdomen is black colour.

If can get these type of subspecies FS sure a good catch!
Attached Image Attached Image

I'm off Sun-Mon. Next week i have long holidays .. 7 days off starting on Sat icon_idea.gif
When you free, maybe we can meet up to past u the spiders.

Hello Fs bros!

Hi rog72, welcome to this forum!
Why don't you join us for hunt? No need to be regular, whenever you are free and feel like it.
We always welcome new kakis. Just post your cellphone number on this forum and we will sms you!
We can try the places you mentioned : Clementi Park & monkey hill.....
Let me just mention that the ages of the S'pore kakis range from 27 to 48 (as far as I know)
and there are currently 14 active (& at least 7 inactive - krauser, yuda, ksiao, jj, vincent, dreamchaser, lonewolf).....
Active : koppao, trevally, ken25, btl, kenz691, jong71, simone, urahinuk, seng, vincent81, ah gim, peter (aka buaya), ah or, towkay.....

Wah, viper88, that thania subspecies you caught really looks good - iridescent green stripes. Don't mind keeping one of them.
For some reason never came across this subspecies in S'pore, although forested areas very similiar to M'sia.
Read in your recent post that you will be on holiday. Maybe you will be going up to Cameron or Genting to check out the FS there?
As kjinn said, the FS may tend to be bigger than average because cooler due to altitude
and mangrovejumper has come across the rare orange subspecies there.....

Here's a recap of our appearences after hunting at Ubin. The photo was taken with BTL's camera by the lovely spiderwoman!
At least some of these guys will be going to M'sia to bother our KL bros!!!

Hi everybody, long time no chat, but I do check out our forum daily ^^. Darn it Viper, should call me leh, I would love to have gone to the forest reserve with you. Looks really interesting, u didnt manage to catch any normal fs? I have tried dloading msn messenger, but dunno why cannot connect. Cant figure it out, altho im an IT consultant, ahahha.

I will try to pm u my number, don wanna post up my number. Sadly, i start on a new project Monday, and wont have time except weekends to meet u. How bout u me and mindstorm do a pilot hunt to Genting before our SG bros come to identify good places to catch. Cuz if our group big, we will waste lots of time looking for a good spot to accommodate like 6+ ppl. Bro Jong, yah, i really curious, hehe, maybe we can find king kong in Genting =). Im getting excited, haha. U guys are confirmed coming right? That SG Congkak place looks like a good place to go as a group too.

Ive never seen the species u caught, very brilliant colors. Nice to keep as pet also, hehe. Keep up the good work SG bros.

Hello FS bros!

Hi kjinn,

At this time, still early, 4 of us want to make the trip in December - ken25, simone, ura & i. The others tentative. BTL is free after Christmas.
Confirmation whether can make it this year will be only in December when everyone's holiday plans/leave etc are finalised for the year....
Heavy rain is what we worry about. If not this year, next year dry season.......

Hi guys,

Newbie here, i really like fighting spider but don't know how to take care of it. May answer some of my noob question when you guys feel free. smile.gif

1. Where should a better place for keep the spider? (eg: plastic case? how big is needed?)

2. What food does i need to give them?

3. Does they will bite people? Seem you guys just hold them in hand, so fighting spider won't harm people?

4. Anything that need to pay attention / take care to?

Appreciate for lesson from you guys. thanks. smile.gif

1. Where should a better place for keep the spider? (eg: plastic case? how big is needed?)
Can use see-thru soft tupperware plastic case. Use nail to poke holes for air ventilation.
Like sandwich size tupperware ok oso.  Make sure surround ur case with water to avoid ant go eat the dead insects and also your FS.

Can refer to some other FS kakis setup case for their FS here, scroll down after click the link below.

Basic setup
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/608348/+1960
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/608348/+120 - mine.  laugh.gif

Intermediate setup
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/608348/+1820

Pro setup
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/608348/+800

Mindstorm, maybe you can post this at 1st page. Useful guides for ppl who interested to keep FS.  icon_rolleyes.gif

2. What food does i need to give them?
Fruit flies, mosquitoes, light bulb insects, etcs..

3. Does they will bite people? Seem you guys just hold them in hand, so fighting spider won't harm people?
Fighting spider cant bite through our skin. Most of the time the FS will just walk on ur finger/hand instead of trying to bite.
Some fierce FS maybe will try to bite, but you wont feel any pain, more like something rubbing ur skin only.

4. Anything that need to pay attention / take care to?
Feed once a day or 2 days once depend on type of food. Need few drops of clean water daily, change leaves when dried - depends on type of leaves.
Clean FS case ard 1 week once if there are too many dead insects or 2 many FS shit.   laugh.gif Wash ur hand clean after handle FS.

Appreciate for lesson from you guys. thanks. smile.gif

Added on November 15, 2009, 9:13 pmYup, the spider looks exotic type. Its green stripes really shinning.. i try to put at dark room and c whether its green colour will glow in dark but it didn't. laugh.gif
Its finger/hand friendly, didn't jump here and there like other "ghost" spider.

I'll be on 7 days holiday soon next week starting Sat. i don't have any good plans yet...
Just want to clear my annual leaves and get away from my office hectic work. laugh.gif
