morning spider bros, wow so many happenings during the long weekend.
although no new L size fs was caught, there were quite a nos of interesting fights videoed. kudos to you guys for the great effort. Added on August 11, 2009, 11:10 amwow lau, bro koppao, your lalang had been gang whacked by gila and ajax, you have to catch another lalang to revenge back ok ? Added on August 11, 2009, 11:47 amyesterday met up with bro krauser's ard 4.30pm to match some of our fs. i thought i would be able to record another good match between cobra and jet li but jet li on that day seemed like wouldn't want to engage in a fight. in the end, krauser brought out one unknown fs which he said was from his flower pot and previously had fought 3 chops with gila. flower pot size was slightly smaller the cobra and both of us thought he might lost to cobra. wah liew... its the opposite man !!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6IzwDaWuLQ result -- flower pot won and .................... dun under estimate the power of chili padi, that flower pot fs from bro krauser made our jaws dropped !!! after defeating cobra, he won another sup pow which was slightly smaller than him which i didnt manage to capture a good video. brought out ranger and i thought this would be the end for flower pot and... basket only one chop, ranger ran away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BYvVWy5CAY bro krauser put me with no other alternative and i shown my 1st king, wind. i smiled to myself thinking basket, wind should beat you this time. just a size comparison, wind is ard M-L and flower pot is ard M-S. hehehe big bully kechit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPyb4CSDM-Y $&%&%&^%&&^&%& ..... no eyes to see wah this flower pot really getting on my nerves. sioa liao, all the fs i brought along lost to one single fs which is the smallest among them. then i discovered i brought lim chu kang as well and why not give it a fight with flower pot. this time round i didnt put in great hope on lim chu kang since flower pot defeated wind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyPCj8YNfJE wahahahaha.... lim chu kang defeated flower pot. conclusion - as there's a saying never judge a book by its cover, it applies to never judge a fs by its size. Man.. i watched the fight several times ady.. very long and exciting fight.
Lalang vs Gila - 3mins fight.. (lalang leg kena bite) Lalang vs Gila - rematch (lalang lower part kena bitten) Lalang vs Destroyer (lalang arm get bitten) Lalang vs Ajax - (lalang seems like weaken or knock out abit) Looks like most of the FS from SG all have more experience in fights and can fight much more longer. 2 mins+ and even break 3 mins+ record fight. Some other shorter fights also quite exciting |

The just ended long weekend so shiok! Got to meet 2 Bro's that I haven met b4 (BTL & Simone), so much fighting and interesting videos to view and still have somemore videos in Bro BTL's camera to come!
QUOTE(jong71 @ Aug 10 2009, 09:30 PM) Today's fights : Bro Simone, seems like your Nokia is converting to chop. You and kopPao har.. dunnoe why go and follow Bro Viper's patented method of converting FS to chopsters.. Keep FS under the bed somemore la..1) The FS Polo which i spotted & bro krauser caught challenged bro simone w.'s Nokia, which had 2 fights yesterday with his kaki's Blankie & Blackie (post # 2072). bro ksiao was on-camera (i guess). Polo was fresh while it seemed Nokia had converted to chopster: Nokia vs Polo Polo won 2) The re-match betw. Ajax & Gila Gila vs Ajax 2 Ajax won. 3) Polo meeting Ajax for the 1st time Polo bottom of screen, Ajax top. Polo vs Ajax 1 The fight went under the leaf, but Polo won. On trying a rematch Ajax ran away. 4) Now a match betw. Gila & Polo. The FS faced each other across a big gap. Polo left, Gila right. bro krauser had to put the fighting platform down because he found it funny... On the box, Gila pulled Polo down, the fight went under the leaf, then reappeared.....Polo ran, Gila won. Gila vs Polo 5) Gila seemed to be back in form so we pitted him against the suppow Kongax. Gila vs suppow Kongax Gila won. As Ajax could'nt fight anymore, this makes Gila the 2nd king in the M/M-L category. Also in the fight with Sea, Gila fought 5 chops, Ajax only 1. Why did Ajax win twice? I think 1st time Gila had too many fights, esp with Lalang, Ajax few. The 2nd time, Gila not warmed up. When warmed up he beat Polo. Ajax lost to Polo. Haiz, I was really pinning on Gila to defeat Ajax hence the loud 'Walao!' at the end of the video. But since Gila is mentally unstable.. can't be helped.. He seems to prefer the tactic of letting himself be pushed or pull his opponents which are equal or stronger in strength under the platform to strike a 'low blow'. If he cannot achieve that, he will run. Can see this especially in this Gila VS Ajax Round 1 video where Ajax prevented Gila from going under the platform twice by trapping Gila's rear legs. After the 2nd attempt to drag Ajax underneath failed Gila disengaged and ran Have to clarify that Ajax has performed better against Sea previously for 4chops in Sea VS Ajax (Round 2) when you first came to our 'headquarters'. This was round 2 and it wasn't Bukit as kopPao mentioned in the youtube comments of the same round 1 match. Bro Jong dun release Ajax yet! Nooooooooooo... his 'Eagle' stance is very nice to look at and I think should have a few more fights left in him leh.. QUOTE(kopPao @ Aug 10 2009, 09:58 PM) i cant help but compliment on the quality of your videos. such close-up with such clear image !. Ya I second having Bro Jong as official videoman may i clarify with u, u r using a camcorder & not a digi cam ? next time if there r fights & u r around, u will be the 1st choice photographer without hesitation. So Bro kopPao.. how? Round 2 Sea vs Gila? Sea is bigger and stronger so this time the CB leaf may have to cut many many holes for Gila to use his favorite tactic Btw have you sorted your newly caught FS over the wkend? I'm especially interested on the progress of that blue pow.. QUOTE(Trevally @ Aug 11 2009, 09:59 AM) Added on August 11, 2009, 11:47 amyesterday met up with bro krauser's ard 4.30pm to match some of our fs. i thought i would be able to record another good match between cobra and jet li but jet li on that day seemed like wouldn't want to engage in a fight. in the end, krauser brought out one unknown fs which he said was from his flower pot and previously had fought 3 chops with gila. flower pot size was slightly smaller the cobra and both of us thought he might lost to cobra. wah liew... its the opposite man !!!! wah this flower pot really getting on my nerves. sioa liao, all the fs i brought along lost to one single fs which is the smallest among them. then i discovered i brought lim chu kang as well and why not give it a fight with flower pot. this time round i didnt put in great hope on lim chu kang since flower pot defeated wind. The first video was confusing since both FS looked very similiar and I initially tought my flowerpot was the one whose claw was bitten and lost. Only after the match were we able to confirm the winner and looser by testing both FS fighting stance again. Angry with Jet Li for refusing to fight his best friend Cobra so I have punished him by putting him in confinement BTW Mindstorm, if you're still reading this thread or any of the other Bros who have experienced Bu molting to Kang before, is there any chance that this Bu here will molt to a Kang? Its bloody huge and its face is unusually white for a Bu, however the palps aren't as swollen like those of a Kang's. Been keeping it for almost 2wks already but still no molt This post has been edited by Krauser: Aug 11 2009, 02:19 PM |

bro Krauser :
no choice la, if i dont follow the Grand Master, my FS will become ice-cream. wow actually i didnt noticed this, ever since i place my FS under my bed, im having more chops. so, how do FS convert to chops ? is it the dark environment ? the disease ? or the learning of chop technique from other Chops ? your bu look impressive !! really look different from other bu. but hor, even if she molt to Kang, he will be a ice-cream pao in his initial stage. hehe u must be able to TaHan this. guys, im meeting Hulk later on at 10.45pm !!!! stay tuned for Round 5. I want to catch a few more M-L size before the hungry ghost festival.. |

QUOTE(kopPao @ Aug 11 2009, 10:00 PM) hi guys... had a meeting with Hulk last night. unfortunately, Hulk was not at his best.In fact, he is far from his best. he dosnt show jerkiness in his movement. i guess he has reached his old age. we proceed with the fight anyway, since bro vincent came all the way down to my block. 1st round, 1 chop from TFM, Hulk ran away. 2nd round, same thing happened. Hulk couldnt withstand the initial chop from the L-size chopster. we were puzzled but not suprised, as Hulk looks really weak. we were all disappointed as we expected a close match between these 2 magnificant FS. |

Pity about Hulk but this champion has given us superb matches showing off his brute strength. Bravo!
Yo Bro BTL, great video quality btw! QUOTE(betweentheleaves @ Aug 11 2009, 11:45 PM) Another fight which i took on that day but dont know whose, sorry bros..cant recall cause too many matches that day.... This fight is Sea VS Ajax round 4, Sea as usual won due to his bigger size. I recognized Ajax immediately coming from the top right by his 'Eagle' stance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTuFbBWb0Yo Lalang survived this 2nd meeting against Gila and I believe kopPao has released him already. BTW was Raven previously used for sparring also? Your Spar 1 also looks strong man Jet Li has recovered his fighting spirit after I corrected the problem of removing this pregnant Bu. Didn't know pregnant Bus can be so fierce til I saw it chasing Jet Li around in his container yesterday before feeding time. After that tried him against a zero fighter and he gave chase QUOTE(nairud @ Aug 12 2009, 09:07 AM) Guys, Hi Bro,I appreciate it that you guys from Singapore are in here and talking about fighting spiders. It'll be better off if we can minus the death matches out from this thread ok? Point noted. Anyways all the bros here discourage death matches and will stop the fight when they see this about to happen. Maybe we did say something like 'Die already' or 'Going to die', in the videos becoz we were all worked up and excited during the 'Live' matches but in reality the fights were stopped in time and both FS survived. All of them except me that is Cool avatar you've got there btw.. This post has been edited by Krauser: Aug 12 2009, 02:35 PM |

bro trevally,
Seems to be many videos on FS locked in combat, but none showing its hunting behavior. Maybe you should make one which shows a cricket moving abt, then a waiting FS pouncing on it! Can also show a suppow attack and say how this is the same as an FS catching its prey! Anyway, just a suggestion for your blog. What is the diff. betw. a forum & a blog? If the Lowyat.NET moderator disapproves of our content, can we switch to your blog and make it into a forum? best regards , jong bro koppao, bro krauser, QUOTE cant help but compliment on the quality of your videos. such close-up with such clear image !. QUOTE Ya I second having Bro Jong as official videoman He's using a no frills camcorder with no macro mode and yet can capture such a detailed video. You should see his recording technique, his camcorder lens sebei close to the FS almost touching the platform wan. i've just been comparing my videos with others in the forum and sorry to say others are better. bro BTL's is the clearest i think. i think he uses the Panasonic Lumix with macro function. best regards, jong This post has been edited by jong71: Aug 12 2009, 11:27 PM |

Gila vs Lalang Rd2
WALAN EH. Underside attack/troat bite or watever u call it...this is another first ONE OF ITS KIND fight variation. A sudden strong jerk push from gila at 0.41 flipped lalang upside down and amazingly gila still standing upright which allowed it to have a deadly point of attack. Notice at 0.40-0.41 both arms of lalang is wide open. At 0.39 just b4 the flip, lalang's right arm is held away...maybe that's why the flip can happen. Lalang was not holding on to its opponent tight enuf... Probably Lalang already weaken also. After the roll about in the first 6 seconds, can see Lalang already injured. Heck man, Gila really aggressive and gila too. Perfect choice of name man! Good that the brothers there then also try to stop the match, at least saved Lalang. (But even the attempt to save Lalang was incredible! Despite whoever was that tapping hard underneath the leaf to break up Gila's stronghold, Gila was still holding on to its victim like mad!) I can understand moderator Nairud's concern about death matches. I think this is a very controversial issue and surely different brothers here will have different viewpoints which are valid. Actually from many of the fights clips, we can see that most of the time, whenever there an impeding death match, there will be someone who would try to stop the match. Sometimes it happen so fast and unexpectedly that hardly anything can be done. Afterall they are spiders and spiders can deliver a fatal bite to kill their prey(including other spiders) in a split second. But most of the time, maybe we also unsure wheather a hold would lead to death or not cuz sometimes the fs being held can turn around to counter. Added on August 13, 2009, 2:19 am QUOTE(Trevally @ Aug 11 2009, 02:41 PM) Added on August 11, 2009, 5:19 pmbro koppao, glad that u like abt my blog. i'm thinking of opening up the blog to bros here. meaning that if u guys got any articles to contribute regarding fighting spider, u can email me one and i will put it up for u. the author of the article would be inline with the article as well. hope u guys can write some articles on hunting, matches and discovery. the best is with some pics. pls email me trevally@live.com if u have one. i've changed the title of the blog to Singapore - Malaysia Fighting Spider Enthusiasts. let's let our fighting spider activities be remembered and continued. Bro Jong71, I too also have this concern that this forum might one day not approve our content or one day take down this tread for watever reason. Hence, I actually save almost all the pages whenever i have the time!! haha! In case one day, computer harddisk crash or watever, I can shift all this to another website/forum/blog! so that we all still can continue the fs hobby. Now that Trevally got his own blog, in case this happen then we all jump to his blog!(Trevally then will have quite a bit of work to put up the now 100+ post from this tread if he agree to it!) I guess forum tread allows the contributors more power to load up their own content to contribute but blog content mainly must go through the blog owner before you can see it. Is that correct, trevally? cuz i also not sure about blogging. But i guess google blog allows more freedom for the type of content, while forum got moderator(police) to check check on us. i guess for blog the police is the blogger himself. Hmm... could this be another species like the one Viper gave me? can u show us a pic of it from the top, showing its abdomen pattern also? QUOTE(Trevally @ Aug 11 2009, 09:59 AM) morning spider bros, wow so many happenings during the long weekend. hi bro Trevally... LaLang might be fierce, but its technique is not among the best.although no new L size fs was caught, there were quite a nos of interesting fights videoed. kudos to you guys for the great effort. Gila & Ajax are certainly better than him. however, due to lalang's "never wana lose" attitude, he faced death several times... really hope he recovers... hope to catch another lalang soon... Added on August 14, 2009, 12:14 amupdate on LaLang's condition : he hasn't eaten since the last match with either Gila or Ajax. the match which almost cost lalang's life. just few mins ago, he ate a cricket at last. But, he did not feed on the cricket naturally. in fact, what i did was to kill the cricket to make it half dead, then i "throw"the cricket onto lalang. he grab and feast on it. "phew"!.... what a relief for me... he lost a leg, another 1 seems permanently fractured. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSr9nrQa98M bro Krauser, i bet u totally wrote off lalang's chance of survival after the last match. bo jong71, your suggestions are noted.
bro mindstorm, thanks for allowing me to extract some contents of yours for the blog. yeah bro mindstorm, i'm only the one to upload the contents unless i disclose to you guys my password. if this thread is gonna be removed, we have to find other alternatives. for a blog, i dun think it can act like a forum. you guys could only post comments on a posted content. There's a widget for the blog where it could allows you guys to chat but its still limited and not so versatile as a forum.
