I noticed a lot of the fights on leaves:
1. end up on the other side
2. does not leave FSs without room to fight

results in blurred video or shaky video. Is it possible to stage them
in a fixed platform e.g. foolscap pad on top of something etc?
I think MS or one of our Msian bros commented on this before.

when hunting at NTU after the place i go in common wealth is a bad spot.
hunt wasnt so great but its was fun,
we walked inside of the ntu till the training shed, wah the place is huge with lalang,
btw met a fella hunting FS there, he wanna have a match with our "Group",
seems that they hunting for a long time ready,
and he claimed that he got a large FS before caught at NTU,

bro kopPao, the camcorder i just bot is Samsung FlashCAM SMX-C10GP.
Cost me $369 (discount fr. $399 at Challenger). It has one-touch sharing to YouTube,
but no macro option in menu. i set the zoom to max out (opposite to telephoto) then bring the camcorder
as close to the FS until get clear image on LCD screen. i read this technique fr. a book on videoing insects.

bro koPao & bro Vincent, try to get photo/video of TFM and Hulk on 1 mm graph paper.
i just bot a stack, can pass on to yu. L-Size is so rare nowadays that it would be good to have a permanent record of their size.
On video FS all look big on closeup. I remember when i 1st saw TFM then Hulk, i was amazed!!!

bro ksiao, maybe this other guy can give Transformer a fite. Too bad that Hulk is retiring.

Wow! What an interesting thread.

When I was young I remember going out into the hutan lipurs to look for these fellows. I look and syok sendiri only, but never catch, as I did not know how to keep one alive anyway.

I never did find big ones. The biggest I found was a "wolf spider" looking type (but i'm not sure if its a wolf spider or something else). That one was quite big and aggressive looking.

Sunday 2 August 2009 - Everybody Wants a Piece of Lalang

Lalang VS Destroyer (Winner Lalang)
Fight took place in the morning. Lastest update from BTL yesterday is that Destroyer's left claw is still hurt (in straigtened position)

Gila VS Lalang (Winner Gila)
Fight took place 7pm later in the day. Lighting conditions not that good so video a bit blurry. Longest ever fight recorded in SG but mostly inactive grabbing. Lalang lost 1 of his legs the next day. A word of caution - I let slip of where I caught Lalang in the video but go there at your own risk. The place sounds friendly and all but it's actually not. Enuf said..

Sunday 6 August 2009 - Krauser & Jong combined forces invades kopPao's lair

Ajax VS Lalang (Winner Ajax)
Lalang almost got eaten but fight was stopped at kopPao's request. I thought he was a goner but kopPao knew him better , Lalang was up and running 15mins later.

Sea VS Gila (Winner Sea)
IMO, Sea should be another category all together as he was visibly bigger than Ajax, Lalang and Gila. This true M-L sized fighter was just too powerful for the M-sized Gila forcing Gila to play dirty towards the end of the fight(he tried to bite off one of Sea's legs like what he did previously to Lalang and Mongrel) but Sea caught on and blocked in time

Saturday 8 August 2009 - No mood to hunt day..

Anyways finally managed to meet bro BTL yesterday afternoon together with Ken25 & kopPao Quite a no. of matches recorded.. some good some bad after which we proceed to our headquarters with Ah Ong to try our luck but no Large FS sighted.. released the ice-creams and zero fighters there

LaLang encountered the worst aftermath during ytd's fight with Gila. (round 2) i guessed video is with bro BTL.
he stay motionless for a long peroid of time. i have yet to check on his conduition. seems like the poison has got into his body.
i wont be suprised if he is dead.

After countless attempts, finally managed to upload : Aftermath of TFM VS Hulk (rd 4)
both FS r badly injured during their last fight. (rd 4).
TFM's left arm is bleeding badly. 2 portion of its arms r bleeding.. visible from the below video.
Hulk has no bleeding arm, but 1 of its leg is injured but not broken off.

Oh ya, forgot abt the Gila VS Lalang round 2, does bro BTL also got problem uploading the long fight into youtube too ? True Lalang looked liked a goner at the end of the match, but he did recover again and again before. How is he? Hope he's ok coz he's a damn rare FS that doesn't know the meaning of 'Give up'

BTW your blue pow is stronger IMO even thou it lost in this video. We didn't video the fight just before this fight when your blue pow defeated the fierce 7leg chopster caught by Ah Ong which lasted like close to a minute? By the time we spar it against this green pow, I think the blue pow was tired already. New replacement fighter for Lalang? The green pow was caught by Ken25 btw and is with me atm in transit to Bro Trevally .. I got too many FS alrdy to take care off haha

Eh, might be meeting Bro Trevally later ard 3pm onwards, if you guys happen to be nearby I'l pop over. Simone's FS looks good Bro Jong, if you happen to be reading this, can you make it also? I need to pass back Ajax to you or issit you dowan to keep already as you're now tracking only King Kong FS? Call me if you can make it, else I might be trying out Gila VS Ajax round 2 with both FS fresh.

Weird, seems like my sparring FS are no longer ice-cream anymore, they now give 3 to 5 chops when sparring against Gila and Ajax and Jet Li Are the kings are getting weaker or the sparring getting stronger? Maybe another Gila might emerge?

LaLang's ability to recover is amazing... again, he escaped death this time. however, he is still in ICU.
dosnt want to eat, but drink a lot. seems like he has caught that sympton. i will monitor him for a few more days.
if he still dosnt want to eat, i will consider releasing him back to the wild.

Today's fights :
1) The FS Polo which i spotted & bro krauser caught challenged bro simone w.'s Nokia, which had 2 fights yesterday
with his kaki's Blankie & Blackie (post # 2072). bro ksiao was recording the fight (i guess). Polo was fresh while it seemed Nokia had converted to chopster:
Nokia vs Polo
Polo won

2) The re-match betw. Ajax & Gila
Gila vs Ajax 2
Ajax won.

3) Polo meeting Ajax for the 1st time
Polo bottom of screen, Ajax top.
Polo vs Ajax 1
The fight went under the leaf, but Polo won. On trying a rematch Ajax ran away.

4) Now a match betw. Gila & Polo.
The FS faced each other across a big gap. Polo left, Gila right. bro krauser had to
put the fighting platform down because he found it funny...
On the box, Gila pulled Polo down, the fight went under the leaf, then reappeared.....Polo ran, Gila won.

5) Gila seemed to be back in form so we pitted him against the suppow Kongax.

Gila won.

As Ajax could'nt fight anymore, this makes Gila the 2nd king in the M/M-L category.
Also in the fight with Sea, Gila fought 5 chops, Ajax only 1.
Why did Ajax win twice? I think 1st time Gila had too many fights, esp with Lalang, Ajax few.
The 2nd time, Gila not warmed up. When warmed up he beat Polo. Ajax lost to Polo.

Thanks to bro simone w. for handling the FS with bro krauser. This is the best setup for fights:
2 bros to control the FS and 1 bro to video.
