Krauser: Can you take a picture of your big jumper and post? We can probably ID it.
Sure, I could do a short storyboard for you

I've decided to name it Goku btw
Top view. Made him sit on a container housing one of my medium sized FS having a meal so can compare the size difference. Can't compare side by side or the FS will confirm become food. As of today when I measured him (body only from start of head to end of abdomen, he measures 11mm).
Goku's face, notice the very visible mandibles. I felt a sharp poking feeling like a needle once when allowing it to move underneath my forearm (below the wrist area where the veins are visible) where my skin is thinner, could be he's just testing out the taste or his mandibles were itchy, but since then I've only handled it on my hands and nowhere else on my body
Was taking Goku out for his walk on the potted plants outside one night and then noticed him going into his 'predator' stance(more about this stance later), then he lunged at something underneath the leaves which was out of my line of sight. When I found him a second later, he already had this spider.
A few things I've noticed:
1. The hunting stance adopted is different from what I noticed from my FS. FS usually will do their normal jumping stance and then lunge at the prey. Sometimes the FS misses or the prey escapes(especially with bigger prey) causing the FS to be disoriented for a while before noticing the prey again and repeating. Once the prey is captured, it still moves for a while when the FS is feeding on it (poison not strong?) For Goku, he goes into a stance very much like a cat hunting a mouse (keeping low body profile and creep up v. slowly on prey). Only when he's 100% certain, will he go for the kill and he never misses nor will the prey escape even if its bigger than him (I've feed him regular sized crickets before). Also the prey stops moving almost immediately. He's quite picky about his food, preferring prey around his size and has eaten 3 medium sized FS before (2 male and 1 female back when I just caught him and still blur thinking its a King Kong Pau FS). Lately I've been feeding him with crickets or grasshoppers which I catch when playing outside with my kids. Didn't bother to buy the crickets from aquarium shop as they make a racket at night and anyways am only feeding him about once in 3days.
2. It appears that he does not necessarily reside in between leaves as I've noticed him before spinning a nest which looks like a tunnel sticking to the edges of a corner of the top of the rectangular tarbau container I use to house him. He then suspends himself in this tunnel. Sometimes he does spin this same tunnel but on a smaller scale in between leaves. His web feels stronger than FS web and can get quite irritating when playing with him on my hands, thats why now I just let him walk outside once in a while.
3. When faced with a male FS, he opens up his arms for to access the threat and then acts disinterested. The male FS by this time has either also lost interest and turned away or has unwittingly crawled too close to him. In both cases, they end up as food (Goku turns around and chops right when the other uninterested male FS turns away). Sorry I don't have videos; I did try but find it very difficult handling 2 jumpy spiders at the same time with a videocam in my hand

Wife finds spiders too creepy while the kids will only end up shooting my face or my body instead. Trying to find me a suitable tripod so I can have 2 hands free.
3. I caught him on the 6th of May @ Bedok Reservoir park. I spotted him resting in between leaves (no nest) and he jumped down when he made eye contact with me. Waited 5mins around the foliage he jumped into before he surfaced and I scooped him with my plastic bag

Happy like seow thinking I caught a King Kong Pau until his strange behavior slowly unfolded. Funny thing was he was the only spider that I managed to catch that day for almost 2hours. I was all the while thinking the area was an FS habitat as I kept finding a number of FS spiderlings and empty nests but never an adult male or female until I found Goku. Now as I think back, maybe they had been food for Goku?
So much for Goku, the yet unknown species (i doubt its a hylus). Here's some pics of my FS.
1st King Giddra - Was actually a couple FS caught @ Mac Ritchie Reservoir Park one Sunday evening while out with Family for a walkabout.
2nd King Choji - Named him after the fat char in Naruto coz he likes to eat, even dead ones and ones left behind by other FS. Caught him wandering around the plants early morning walkout with my kids @ my HDB rooftop garden

(NO Kidding!). Was very surprised to find FS habitat right at my doorstep, but very few and mostly spiderlings.
This FS I just keep coz I find the colour is nicer but can't fight at all

.. is this consider a lam pow? Looks like blue shine to me whenever I look at it or compare against others.
