The US market is in this euphoric bullish sentiments now.

All those stocks that were discussed in this thread for the past 4 weeks or more.. all gone up 20% or more.

This includes C, BAC, AIG, etc.

It is crazy.. but that's how it is. Crazy BUY BUY BUY mentality now. biggrin.gif

my firstrade a/c name is: KAI CHIEW YU instead of YU KAI CHIEW, which is used in malaysia.

my surname is YU btw. and for US style, they would put surname in behind.

is tat ok?

and if they wire back / use cheque, is there any problems is the payee is: KAI CHIEW YU??

still can bank in malaysia a/c??

confused....pls help me...

This is one funny thing abt US account, always put our surname behind.
Anyway, i dealt with this before, should be no problem whichever way they put it.
Bank officer know this is US check, they will honor your check.

Next time if u ever open US account, try put yr name as Yu Kai Chiew without bothering your surname,
u'll be fined.

US or Western System:
Lastname = Surname or Family Name
Firstname = Given Name

They write First name + Last Name.
For Chinese name, we write Family Name + Given Name

To overcome confusion on forms OR cheque without the proper fields: FIRST NAME or LAST NAME

Do this: YU, Kai Chiew

See that CAPITAL? See that Comma? wink.gif

Anyway, time to short. Bear has come to overpower bull
Been short since last Friday and still holding...
Wait hold until tomorrow PPI data come out. From expectation, it is worst.
Maybe deflation issue will arise and bring market down again hmm.gif

You know.. when I face with this problem, I usually fill up First Name as my Surname, and Last Name as my Given Name.
Example: First Name = Ong, Last Name = Tee Keat.
So when the cheque prints out, it is "Ong Tee Keat"
