i am soon attending in IPOH, a course in US future options trading. there is a preview for my course soon. malaysia is launching some sort of warrant options in August 2009. i think this is the right time to learn the options trading, wth TA. i hope i can share my experience here later.

thanks.

Added on July 18, 2009, 9:57 pmoh, i forgot. the tutors specialise on selected 30 companies in the US. so far some are trading at some gains.

Options trading can be dangerous, much more than trading or investing. For beginner, better to learn investment part, not trading nor options play.

If want to trade, perhaps just continue to play KLSE where you can 'goreng' safely. biggrin.gif
@ NYSE, the execution are very fast and 2x/3x the volatility and if you're trading from overseas and don't have good internet speed, you're toast.
As for low dollar stocks (aka. penny stocks). Most of them are not worth it to buy for long term investments. The reason for their low dollar is because they've already in trouble, nobody wants them or they've financial problem.

yes, i do agree with you that futures trading can be dangerous. but we set the put options at 10 - 15%, and the call at LTPR technique. cannot lose more than we can afford.

as for the KLSE, yes, we make alot since 12th march. with the bourse in hand, i shot them often. so far so good. as for me, currently is a tremendous opportunity to trade, day-trade included. to me, this is once in a 10-year tenure. i hope everyone can make it big this year. ignore what the analysts are saying, we can go quite a long way amidst the current volatility. as for the high beta bourse, yes, this is the opportunity, once every 10 year. hope we all make it.

many thanks for your advise, i will place great care and attention to you words. thanks man.

happy trading.

I'm trading options here. Just pick your favourite stocks and trade calendar spread options.
Less risk and importantly, is using small capital to trade big stocks. Small knife cut big tree biggrin.gif
(Note: options trading involved high risks)
OptionsXpress also provide pre-market quote.
And you can trade during after-market and pre-market hour. smile.gif

Hello,

about your options trading. what are the tools (TA) that you are using ? i am now learning the put and call, but i am still uncertain about the TA to use. for example, the trainer needs us to complete the exercise berfore going in, and the 9 TAs include - BB, MACD, SMA, EMA, PAR SAR, OS, etc etc, and after this, i have to fill in a technical form that includes - Target Price, Entry Price, Stop Loss, Profit/Loss, Intrinsic Value ...

may i know what tools you use? thanks pal.

Added on August 30, 2009, 11:55 amAnother question i wish to ask please: -

i am opening an account for options trading, but it seems that the Op.....xpress needs my passport but mine has long expired. any solutions or other reliable companies that i can open an account for US trades?

thank you.

Its depend on individual preferences. Personally i used stochastics + RSI + ADX + MACD histogram.
I think you can use your Msian ID as verification document instead of passport. You can try ask live support see whether can or not.
Or can try etrade, AMERITRADE, etc..

ye lor, so expensive. currently i am using sogotrade, $3 per transaction unlimited shares. But as of now still enjoying 100 free trades given during registration.

Hi,

can you explain more about the Sogotrade, or pm me the link for me to open an account.

also, how liquid is the account. i mean, when i wish to withdraw some money, how long it takes? is it via TT to my local account?

truly appreciate your early reply. thanks.

if you have not deposit any money. why not try open acc with sogo & see if you like it or not.

Actually Interactive broker is cheaper but you need to have min deposit of $10k.

hi,

will try to pen an account at the sogo. my question remains > is it safe and liquid? does anyone here made any wothdrawal before? i guess i will trade more than the amount stated by you. my trainer says optionsexpress is safe so far, easy wothdrawal, but charges at usd 14 per transaction.

many thanks.
