I called to hlb. But they said online trading for US market still not available. I check CIMB and notice that their itrade can buy US stock. Any one care to comment on their rate and service.

Thank for the explanation. Based on the current trend, Citi and AIG look not so good. Any good counter to recommend?

Hi,

Anyone of you here who has an account with OptionXpress ? Do you know that the commissions rate for stock is just USD 9.95 per trade (active trader). I saw in the forum is that OptionXpress costs USD 14.95. I see a different in pricing.

Can someone help to clarify this?

1. Pricing.
2. TT transfer from and to.
3. Annual fee?

ye lor, so expensive. currently i am using sogotrade, $3 per transaction unlimited shares. But as of now still enjoying 100 free trades given during registration.
*
What u mean 100 free trades? USD 100?? I read somewhere say that sogotrade got many hidden fees. Can you advise us on this?

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Aug 30 2009, 11:53 PM)
TD Ameritrade, E-Trade, Interative Brokers and OptionsExpress seems to be common ones used by LYN members here.
Cheapy goes to MBTrading, SogoTrade, FirstTrade and Zecco (you get what you pay for).

Some already been briefly reviewed by members. Feel free to go to first page and read from there.  nod.gif

Regarding MBTrading. It charge US$ 50 for any TT back to malaysia. DO you think this consider very high cost?

Any possibility of sogotrade collapse? If you say it under SIPC. Nothing is free. I read somewhere that we may need to pay some fee as to ensure the money invest is save. Is it correct?

Yes, dividends are taxable (or withhold) up to  30% for non-US residents.

Most Malaysians (who aren't US residents) who invest in US stocks mainly go for capital gain (not taxable),
not dividends. biggrin.gif

Yes, the only suggestion is STAY AWAY from FRE or FNM.
These two pigs are NOT invest able.

But, for speculation and trading.. and if you want to take some risk, sure feel free.  nod.gif
