hi im new in this territory too. just opened an account with optionsxpress, theyr rather new ainit.

but i havent completed the new acct requirement that is to send the documents for verification incl the notorious W8-EN

I just ticked no, no, no ,no to most the questions which i think irrelevant to me, based on common sense. i wonder if i need some1 who knows wat these r than i simply ticked?

i only scared the legal consequence should commoner/beginner like me when filing forms as such

May i know which bank you chose to TT your money to OptionXpress ? Are you using online FTT or via bank.

How long did it take to get your Optionxpress??? I applied with zecco, it was like endless trouble during the application. And it's now been 5 business days, and I still haven't got my account yet

u guys hv training/experience in option trading b4 or first time just hantam invest wit real money is best experience? lol

btw, anyone tried optionxpress virtual trade b4? how realistic is it compare to the real market? or the VT is using the real mkt data, only difference is fake money??

in VT, r we provided with realtime stock chart? if so, where to click ,cant seem to find.
how about if we trade live, does optionxpress provide the realtime stock chart too?

the realtime stock chart is a crucial tool right?

FAS is better if you're bullish.  Already up 50% for last 30 days.  D

But, tread careful, IMO, financial sector may not have bottom yet..
eventho a lot of people call DJIA at 6500 was the absolute bottom.

The M2M rules aren't clear yet and the toxic assets re-purchased with private equity - not exactly sure
if the banks/mortgage companies are willing to sell them on the penny on dollar.

That's crap. FNM/FRE wasn't up 300% since last week.
Both of these will go to ZERO soon.
Just like GM, it will go to ZERO.
Just as a side note, just to share with some of you who are 'playing' US stocks, 

I've been in and out of commodities like gold, copper and oil for the past two months..
It's been highly speculative..and it has been a profitable ride as well.

Sold some GLD AT $95.. now..with the pullback, time to buy back some because we all know inflation is going to be higher
with trillions of US dollars being printed.

Bought some copper (FCX), man I love this one..  this thing is going to rocket even
higher when economy is full force and when China is buying up even more cooper for infrastructure building. 

Bought and sold some USO.. oil futures play.. made some there.. OPEC is driving prices higher,
can't fight them. 

People asks me why not trade in local Bursa.. Bur who? hehe.. who cares about that. 

Finally done all the steps to setup the US stock account, use TT to transfer

CIMB charges:

Outlook for next week US market:

I think we should continue to see mini rally extending upwards next week eventho it is a 4 days only trading session.  Here's why - wednesday, Feds will meet to discuss more detail on implementing the uptick rule, bad for shorts, good for longs, that's means more money coming into the market. 

Eventho US unemployment has surged, that's seems to be already discounted and a rear-view mirror.

Looking ahead, the US recession has slowed down (but not out yet), credit market is thawing, some banks are reportedly wanting to give the TAFT money back to US govt and Tech stocks seems to be leading the pack. S&P500 racing ahead towards 850, DJ going towards 8200. The REIT has not bottom yet but excess inventory is slowly moving out. The G20 summit meetings have instill good confidences in market all over the world this week.

Good time to place your bets on long for now.

What to watch out for:
The N.Koreans wanting to test their missile err.. ahem comm. satellite rocket
over Japan, - imo, that could trigger unsavory responses from US and its allies, and can spook the regional markets.

It seems that we have a bit of pullback tonight.
Opportunities for longs to get some in. 

Well, you didn't buy some on Wednesday night?  The pullback was the opportunity man! 

Yesterday was best day for financial.  Every bank stocks were up.. Wells Fargo has the best run of them all
with over 30%.

It seems the bottoming process already began. Don't wait at the sidelines to wait for the
lowest to get in.. nobody knows when the bottom will in and it is always a rear-view mirror. 

I have to take some profits today, selling some of my positions in UCO, FCX and HAL. 

We shall play again next week..   

When it comes to buying stocks I am very cautious.Learned some good lesson in my early startup but sometimes being over cautious also not good.
Investing in like BAC doesn't need to be an expert. In a few years time it can go up like 30-40 and above. Probably I set the target too low...sad...

I bought Resorts and Proton almost at the lowest price and making some good money now but when I compare to what I could have made of the US,its
really pathetic and peanut money....
