QUOTE(fruitie @ May 31 2018, 06:22 PM) Probably didn't help that I was attempting to activate it while overseas (activation fee not in MYR). Those transactions are currently still Pending, we'll see whether they ever switch to Settled (but my balance has been deducted any how) |

All amounts have a strikethrough and marked reversed. |

I must say I love shopping in Taobao with BigPay, this reason itself is sufficient for me to continue using this card.
The rate is so so good. Almost identical to XE.com, without credit card service charge for foreign currencies. I purposely waited till all my transactions are "Settled" to compare rate. My boss is going to the States for business trip for three months which I usually will buy stuff from Amazon and post to him to bring back to Malaysia, looks like this round I will use BigPay card to pay. Got big exchange rate for my shopping in Thailand and Singapore. Even my ATM cash out in SGD also very attractive. of course the more we withdraw, the best rate we get (coz RM10 withdrawal fee) |

At first I thought I won't have chance to fully utilize this card but at least I can withdraw from ATM. |

I would like to say thanks to TS for updating the 1st post and provide good fresh informative value to the thread. Great job!
Myself tried almost 20x trying to add the card via Grab app but to no avail. At first I thought it didn't go through but when checking the BigPay app the RM1 verification charge was charged many many times to my horror. Checked the details and all the transaction indicated that it has been cancelled. Tried to add the card via Grab webpage and it doesn't work too. Maybe TS would like to update the 1st post on this development until the ability to add the card to Grab is sustainable. Recently I purchased a bus ticket and paid for using BigPay. The payment processor was iPay88 and they did ask who is the card issuer. I selected others and manually typed - BigPay, transaction went through. Receipt shows payment done via "Credit card" with no indication of card issuer. On another note, members may have noticed their posts removed and this is due to violations on the BigPay referral code which is not allowed. This post has been edited by hye: Jun 1 2018, 09:12 AM |

Feeling a little bit investigative this morning. I checked out the Issuer Identification Number (IIN), first 6 digits for BigPay and this is came out.
From (binlist dot net) BRAND : Unembossed Prepaid Student TYPE : Debit Prepaid : YES COUNTRY : Malaysia From (bincodes dot com & exactbins dot com) Issuing Bank TPAAY ASIA SDN. BHD. Card Type DEBIT Card Level PREPAID RELOADABLE ISO Country Name MALAYSIA This confirms that TPAAY ASIA is the issuing bank as mentioned earlier by some members. (and not CIMB) I believe a bank infrastructure is still required for them to "keep" the money but this might be irrelevant for us as BP can use any bank they choose. I re-check again in my AIA online portal, it is still showing CIMB as the bank issuer. |
