Mine don't have ABS, but I have probs with the braking system. The probs lies in the disc brake and pad combinations. Thought of changing to aftermarket stuff, but after checked with PROTON, they told me this will void the warranty. I'm stuck. Complained to PROTON many times, but they said no customer complains. So, they not gonna look into changing their parts to better ones. Haiyyaaa... think I'm just gonna use it as it is until the warranty over. Than will change to my choice of parts.

I think we need to write a petition and send it to PROTON CEO so that those fellow at I-Don't-Care will start to work out their problems. Who want to be in charge to write the petition?
And, seriously, I love my persona, but I hate the proton edar service center .. service very poor. Act as if they are the customers and we need to suits them. Too bad proton come out with good car @ great price, but servis still very poor.

Bro Jeffery, we cannot tune or change parts whatsoever.. will void the warranty as what the service center had told me.

Yea , braking is an issue here . Hard to emergency brake , but it can slow down the car really fast..

can i know whether is it every persona has this braking problem? can as the service center to tune up abit the braking system?

I do not have any problems with the brakes, i feel its rather good actually, right amount of firmness and adequate stopping power.

Mine is an H-line btw.

However, my front left speaker is abit broken as it saturates during the bass heavy parts of the song and there's a squealy sound from the car almost everytime i go over a hump. sounds like a loose bearing.

Does anyone else have the same squealy sound?

My H-line also has the sound from rear everytime i go over bump. The technician try to tight the rear foldable seat for me yesterday and din hear the sound anymore, wish it wont happen again....

My rim alwiz bcome dirty coz of something like dark powder and the service center told me it's bcos of the type of brake pad using and oso common problem. Do most persona owner hv tis prob and solution for that??

As for the brakes, I also noticed the darkening of rims. I was wondering how it got so dirty as the car is quite new. upon closer inspection i found out it was brake dust. maybe we change the brake pads to better ones? will it void any warranty?

Yes bro, it will void the warranty. And PROTON EDAR service center told me PERSONA customer never complained about that dust also. That's why they won't change the brake pad.
Also the disc, can easily get rusty if you left it for half a day after rain. If you don't move your car after 3 days, front brake might not released.

Anyway, a kancil envy my PERSONA's virgin butt when I'm out of town - my sister drivin .... Haih...very sad to know that it's being raped by a kancil.

i really hate the stock brake pads.. they don't bite and produce a lot of dust. A LOT. cheapo Bosch. planning to change them to Bosch Power Plus pads when it's due.. more bite and less dust. way less. by changing to the same brand (but higher range), i don't think it will void the warranty. same brand so they will not notice it maa..

talking about the brake pad thingy, i clean my car once a week or or 2 weeks and yes it is very very dirty full of the rusty color, but then dont you guys discovered some japanese car also have the same problem ?? they might using the similar cheapo brake pad, so just face the truth la guys~~ use it until is void, yesterday i nearly kiss kancil right butt also as the "most dangerous driver in the world "lady " " doing sudden stop sudden signal light sudden turn in, but luckily the brake system is not going so bad la~ i am still say OK with the brake pad and just get use of it already.

About the left side speaker~ no problem as all~ heavy song no problem. but most of time i am playing classical songs.

almost 4 months .. i booked b4 CNY .... initially b-line ... but then the stupid SA make a mistake .. they only realized on march ... so then ... i still stick on b-line .. but no stock ... then got m-line black ... so decide ... tuka laa.... need to fork-up abt 4k.


only on my 3rd day ... discover something already

1) got a sound int he engine compartment.... like something loose the "nyit..... nyit.... nyit... sound"
2) alarm got a "gila" for a while ... i unlock the alarm ... open the door then then hon alarm was on.... then realized when i lock it using my remote .. the "lock handler" at the door didnt go down properly..... after few times then ok ...
3) when open the driver door some times got halfway stuck. like the door lock didnt open properly.
4) test load CD ... enounter cd skipping ... hehe.... all these while running the CD was ok in my old car player.... its a audio CD .. not MP3.


other than that so far ok ...... i gues this is minor .. i think .. coz hardly got ppl mention the problem like listed above..... anyway .. once hitting 1k wanna send to service and get it fixed..... they said just bising2 a bit they will do it for u ...

Your Persona consider a back luck one, i dont have the problem that you mentioned. only the car alarm sometime need to press 5-6times only response

i think the luck depend on the car production batch... so when is your car manufactured? when u got ur car? m or b line?
