has anybody changed the tires yet? i'll be getting the one with NCT5 which I don't like coz it's noisy. the stock tires are 190/60/15 which is a bit odd. I couldn't find any other brand other than the Conti, Goodyear and Silverstone. Is there any Yokos or Bridgestone tires come in this size?

will be covered under the warranty.

mostly are covered by warranty except for wear and tear parts, ie. tires, battery, etc unless they kaput way before the MTBF.

usually JPJ opens a series of number per day.. for example.. 1000 ~ 2999. so you can choose any number for RM210 + RM10.. this is for "running" number.. but let's say you want 3383. meaning it's in the range of 3000 ~ 4999. for this you need to pay RM350 + RM10 coz this is a "jumping" number.. buy on the spot. so if you want to secure your number earlier you can tender.. min RM210

sure can.. for tendered number you keep until 3 months if im not mistaken.. buy number first, register later.

i just bought my number today eventhough i have not receive the car yet (scheduled next week).

i did not tender but bought on the spot. 3 digit number. bought in padang jawa. selangor plate.. although I want Wilayah plate (now WQX) but i'm too lazy to go to KL

just wondering.. all Persona no. plates are taken? or still available?

i think that SC blah you la.. then how come all those perodua, naza, putra plates were made available before this?

persona r3? maybe soon.. coz most of the gen2's r3 parts can be fitted on to the persona.. i have seen a red persona using r3 front bumper.. very garang looking.. i believe the owner is one of the salesman in proton platinum centre.

not.. just the front bumper.. side skirts maybe custom made.. but seriously.. if the persona is properly modded + 16" rims with slightly lowered profile, it looks damn good.

so many personas got hit from behind.. ppl jealous izzit? hehehe

original head unit? not much ler.. probably around RM100~150.. if it's from a high-line then i'm sure many B and M-line owners would like to replace theirs with the H-Line one..

oh btw.. yesterday first time I saw a persona with a Persona no. plate.

that is SO wrong. you will be labelled AH-BENG. why? coz mugen is a honda tuner and they only make spoilers for honda cars.

a small lip spoiler like the HL persona is good enough.

don't spoil the Persona image!

how much for the PPS coating on persona?

just got my HL.. so far so good! i noticed that for 2008 batch come with the new 'black and chrome' logo..

b.tea. booked last year nov 07.. i was surprised that i could get the car on dec 07 but i passed. i don't want to have a car with manufactured date 07, registered 08.. so i skipped and wait for Jan 08 production

my car was rolled out from the factory on 8th jan 08 (8.1.8).. nice eh?

so far no probs.. only very minor quirks.. the car is better than expected!

after a few hundreds k's.. i experienced this problems:-

1) cd player have problems reading and ejecting cds.. always display CD ERROR message
2) slight noise when going over bump while turning the steering
3) vibration at 100km/h - could it be the driveshaft prob?

anybody got the same probs as mine?

i'm gonna complain on the first 1000km service.

anybody encountered probs with your persona? example like creaking, squeaking sounds..

my dashboard got a strange squeaking sound on the driver side.. it is very difficult to detect when it occurs.. it could be the steering, suspension parts or the dashboard itself.

if you have encountered problems and found the solution please share

same here.. i don't know whether it is a design flaw or something that can be fixed. will complain on the first service.

Added on February 17, 2008, 9:56 amthe first two services (1k and 5k) i will be using mach 5 only.. for the every 10k i plan to use fully-syn oil.. but not sure which oil is suitable for the campro.

anybody can share which engine oil is good (specifically for the campro?)

motul 300v, mobil 1 5w-50 and chemlube 20w-50 are among the top in my list. would love to try 10w-40 grade but afraid that it will void the warranty.

i already rev kao after 500km til 1000km (before 1st service of course). why? coz the first oil change is very short so try to remove engine debris as much as possible will do the same before the 5000km service

oh yeah.. just got back from the SC in sec 13. the fella said can bring engine oil but make sure it is 20w-50.. i asked.. why so thick? he said coz campro uses hydraulic tappet.. so if we use a thinner oil it might cause the tappet to sound.

but they still haven't solve the suspension knocking noise though,,

No. not at all.. my wife was deciding whether to get the myvi se or the persona.. in the end, we bought the persona. why? for the same amount of money, we get a better and more comfortable ride. quality? proton = perodua. sama saje.

of course, if we can afford to buy a better car, we would have bought a civic or a stream.

not worried of FC at all.. coz if we do, better don't buy a car lah
