i dun think so..
the P1 question is out of expectation...
but cannot very difficult, but the marks allocation maybe quite strange..
seems like a very simple question, but is allocation mark is very high, until i dun know how to get the marks as high as that..

yeah, i think it's asking for TARA. i don't recalll any other risk treatment strategieis other than those.

yeah, I'm doing F7 2molo also, then subsequently P3 on wednesday.
quite a heavy week. For F7 I'm quite confident, having passed my internals with reasonably good scores.

As for P3... god save me.

Let me comment on today's P1 as well..

I think the paper was fairly ok n up to the point.. And most important, the examiner put it the same style as in the pilot paper.. So, i dun think you all should get any much suprises.. This is level 3 professional paper, requires some critical arguement (in basic term, common sense)..

As the marks allocation (as ThanatosSwiftfire's claim), I also feel abit too much for the amount of points, but i evaluate longer to suit up the marks..

About the outside syllabus matter, i dun think any of acca final part level, u bring ur textbook to exam hall help not that much rite.? At least the examiner asking all qn within the scope of syllabus.. N most of the points i think my lecturer (sheila) did cover with us in the class,  smile.gif

Haha, lucky, my decision to ignore ethics' part is correct.. Throw out Q4 optional, the paper nothing much of ethics ady.. hehe, u will study so much lesser without the ethics stuff.. Ignore ethics n still can answer all the question..  smile.gif

Dun worry, be happie.. A reliable source says this sitting P1 passing rate will not be low..!! So, wait n see la till 18th feb.. cheerz..  biggrin.gif

Hope you can pass this paper! Very convincing statement and i guess no problem for a top person like u....hehe complete accca at 20 rite? tongue.gif
As for me, old d la.....

hi i have a question here regarding leasing....
how do we calculate IRR,

for example,

46410 = 13310 + (13310 x AF3)
AF3 = 33100/13310
      = 2.49

From there, how do we calculate the IRR %, since they don't provide the annuity table.
Kindly help. thanks
*
IRR there's a formula. For this question, everything is given, IRR % is just so easy! Just throw and compute the figure.

The question for P1 was so-so but the mark allocation a bit confusing la. Hopefully the number of candidates passing this paper is high.

gosh, part A seems to be quite easy.. but den for part B, its really killing me..
dun even know if i answered correctly.. answers are so subjective and mroe to application part..
Im not sure wit Section A, part d ques, jus wrote the blardy letter to get the 4 professional marks..
and then, for the importance of IC, is it the elements?
as for the 2nd part, improvement, is it ctrl procedures? I was quite blur, and i recommended to establish a risk management committee alsso an internal audit department.. with their roles in helping to improve..

I did Q1,2 and 3..

Q2 part A.. i used TARA as well, remember seeing such question in Kaplan questions booklet.. but not sure if its right.. frens were saying its not TARA.. after hearing that, almost fainted..

as for part B, its the embedding risk management system rite??

and well, i personally gave up wit P2, gud luck all for tmr's exam!

*wondering how hard will it be for P3 paper.. when P1 is so difficult when we expected it to be the easiest*

P1 is lil bit confusing bout the marks,also examiner for q.4 uses a different term for the Gray,Owen,Adam framework.. contrast the work of the 3 theorist in Pristine capitalist and Social Contraciticism (an alternate to proponent of social contract the third stage of that framework) i think kaplan and BPP does not use such term.. unless in UK , so i think there is a little bit of confusion there..well,hopefully examiner able to take such necessary action bout this matter..remind me of paper 2.5 june 2006 sitting Q.2 where they asked candidate to prepare statement of recognised equity or something?but same as statement of changes in equity ..thats for UK variant.. well, the exam feedback is on the acca website, so give ur feedback, but dont give bashed comment at the last stage of the feedback the paper saying extremely difficult, not appropriate la, hentam acca level of question la...its a negative comment,later they consider u know what whistling.gif when marking the paper.. just be balanced rclxms.gif really pressure for P3 esp. the case study Q.1..800 words,wow,textbook answer wont help..using the approp. model and justify it..aiyoo really it will be time consuming for P3 icon_question.gif

aiyoo, dun throw away just like that, ACCA is like a battlefield, dun surrender or admit defeat without step into it.. maybe that what acca wants, more people feel uncomfortable, let the ££ flow in.. come on people we do this for ourself and also a mission to for Malaysia to increase pass rate than any other countries..this is a National Mission.. brows.gif as what JUNE 2007 malaysia swept all the gold,bronze,silver.. notworthy.gif
