on the contrary, CMMI is not a software design methodology. CMMI is a company assessment method to assess whether a company has what it takes to produce good software consistently.
---
Exam centers, at least Srisedaya and sunway are pretty cold, so some sweaters are advised.
---
hahaha, sunway pretty much screams about their 'successes' XD i guess the 'peer pressure' in sunway is much higher compared to outside.
bunch of nerds studying acca everyday, don't feel stress oso hard.

I felt P1 was quite manageable, although I have to draw attention to the inadequacy of our text, as many of the questions requires criticism and application outside that is provided by text.
possibility of passing is quite high, since I felt i approached the question well, although there were some rather pointless questions that didn't seem to make any immediate sense to me.

yeah, i think it's asking for TARA. i don't recalll any other risk treatment strategieis other than those.
yeah, I'm doing F7 2molo also, then subsequently P3 on wednesday. quite a heavy week. For F7 I'm quite confident, having passed my internals with reasonably good scores.
As for P3... god save me.

er today's F7 was rather easy.
q1 groups didn't have any difficult adjustments. q2 had eps included for 3 marks, but the remaining adjustments were quite tricky q3 ratio 8 marks, explanation 17. included was an acquisition. quite alot to say. q4 faithful representation >< wtf. part (b) was on ias17 leases, i found this part much easier since i studied for it. q5 ias38 and conceptual framework on asset definition and recognition, and also ias8 correction of error. quite manageable.
i estimate myself to be around the 70s category.

i think this p3 could swing either way. some of us would find it easy, some would find it hard.
me. i found it hell.
2nd time in my entire acca exam life, other than 2.4, i had to write till the very last second. so unlike p1, f7, and f8 where i had 30-1 hour free time.
q1 was predictable, 50 marks, 20 marks on strength and weakness. 4 marks on no frills strategy 16 marks evaluation of no frill strategy. 10 marks, strategic actions to improve financial and operational issues.
q2, Project initiation document/business case. 15 marks Project managemetn 10 marks..
q3, pilot paper repeat. primary activities of vc, 5 marks downstream, 10 m upstream 10m. I wasn't expecting a total repeat of pilot paper, so it caught me totally off guard.
q4, quality, 15 marks six sigma, 10 marks.
----
sounds easy enough, eh? but strangely those 3 questions, especially q3/4, when u start doing, u'll just stone there for hours.
I did q2/q3.
all of u, what u all do?
I'm praying for a pass.

i wasted my time on q3, because it's weaknesses were very unclear and required more thinking than possible in 45 minutes.

yes, part 1 is F1-F3. Normally part 1 is only 1/2 a year or 1 semester, since you are allowed to take up to a maximum of 4 papers per semester.

CAT, generally you can do it outside but I personally recommend sunway, since you do want a share of a college life, i assume. ACCA onwards, which is harder, then you can start on lecturer hunting.
Doing it outside at mco/ksa lacks a proper college environment, imo.
