Is it RM49.50 for KASTAM PUNYA FORM? that they charged me or is it handling charges. Cos walau-leh Malaysia really Boleh man i tel u. They took 45 minutes to key in the tax form. if me i think iw ud hv taken 5 min max 10 min how i know cos slow motion.... sloww, sloow then chit chat lagi. So my fren who went with me said now wonder charge rm49.50 for form cos take so long to comple

Hey guys, can I check if anyone's bought any exquisite watches overseas such as Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, etc and got it shipped back? I'm looking to buy a pretty expensive watch, around RM 90k and getting it couriered via either DHL or FEDEX. I just called the Butterworth Kastam, they said I need SIRIM approval for my GPS sensor.

Can I appoint Pos Malaysia to settle this for me in this case?

for SIRIM stuff, i suppose u need to settle yourself.
POS Malaysia only helps u to do custom clearance including tax payment but not for SIRIM matters~

Ok, sharing my experience importing a wedding kimono for men from Japan. my japan friend did the transaction and got the kimono shipped to me . Kimono costs around RM1500.00

One day, poslaju called me whether I want them to be their agent, they will settle all the tax and procedure, then later I only pay them when pickup at Pos Laju branch.

I was practically thinking that the tax would be cheaper than me driving all the way from Melaka to KLIA (toll and petrol) so I agree.

2 days after that, poslaju called me tell me that procedure completed and they will forward the item to PosLaju Melaka. I was soooo shocked when hearing the tax and fee... total up to RM600++ DAMN!

if i had driven to KLIA, i could have negotiated with Kastam for the tax cos i bought it for my personal use (for my wedding!)

Moral : don't rely on POSLAJU as agent

my product are held by custom, no note from pos malaysia.. and the product is within malaysia, why would that hold that ?
