holy sh*t!!
But it is on monthly contract, dont you feel that is kind of risky?

Btw, what is BI stand for? Can tell some basic idea of what is your job scope like? I bet that rm3k/day salary is asking you to do some superman job or climb the sky sort of work isnt it? Mind to tell us what is the catch here with that rm3k/day pay?
*
hey... there's another thread in this forum , this guy getting paid rm3k per hour.. another thread i think he is even more 'superman' than me tongue.gif

well, the catch here is :- make sure the system is up 24 hours a day , 7 days a week.

tat's why i'm still online and working now. But then working hour flexible loh, as long the system is up and running. I used to go all around the world (the company's country offices) and meet their top management, get their requirements, then write specification, does the implementation, and get their 'nod'.

but the main reason is , they can't find any other cognos consultant as good as me tongue.gif yah.. monthly quite risky , so must make sure they cannot live without u loh... they've been trying to convert me to permanent position, but i kinda reluctant, so they just extend my contract loh.... see what the HR decides lah

wao...that's pretty high.
As I know, not many companies offer that high except you aim for management trainee program offered by foreign banks or financial institutions.

so u from foreign university with first class degree?

yeah because i consider inflation, thats why i put 2.8k, but then i stated negotiable, i'm afraid that they might make it a point not to hire me.. icon_question.gif

If they want you they will nego with you. Those that didnt call you back doesn't mean because you put high expected salary, it's because they found better candidate or you doesn't fit their criteria.

okay, that means that its acceptable for me to put 2.8 k, maybe 2.7 would be better.

Do you set a target for yourself that "those jobs with salary under 2XXX I won't accept?" So you're expecting a job in KL or your hometown? (which you put penang)

For me I would rather put negotiable on my resume or I would totally won't mention that on my resume unless the job description specifies that I have to tell my expected salary.

For freshie, 2,500 is reasonable.
those pay >2,800 for freshie? I know only public bank, CIMB, HSBC (all under management trainee programs). Others pay those high might be MNCs which I'm not so sure about that.

Those with higher pay will have higher selection standard which means academic performance is not the only thing they look. I know both CIMB & HSBC have 4 selection stages.

What you put the expected salary in your resume doesnt matter, as long as you show them you are qualify for their requirement. The salary only will be discuss at the interview or after them confirm want to hire you.

Of course my meaning not asking you to put some ridiculous amount of expected salary for a freshie.

nope, we do have a BI team to serve the upper management. It's a small team, unlike the BW team, they serve middle operation/management reporting.

if without exp and at least diploma i'll consider it's ok for that amount. some more, it's not KL or Penang. i assume that ipoh living cost is much lower than both i mentioned.
