wao...that's pretty high.
As I know, not many companies offer that high except you aim for management trainee program offered by foreign banks or financial institutions.

so u from foreign university with first class degree?

okay, that means that its acceptable for me to put 2.8 k, maybe 2.7 would be better.

Do you set a target for yourself that "those jobs with salary under 2XXX I won't accept?" So you're expecting a job in KL or your hometown? (which you put penang)

For me I would rather put negotiable on my resume or I would totally won't mention that on my resume unless the job description specifies that I have to tell my expected salary.

For freshie, 2,500 is reasonable.
those pay >2,800 for freshie? I know only public bank, CIMB, HSBC (all under management trainee programs). Others pay those high might be MNCs which I'm not so sure about that.

Those with higher pay will have higher selection standard which means academic performance is not the only thing they look. I know both CIMB & HSBC have 4 selection stages.
