Added on July 6, 2008, 12:54 pmInstead of knowing individual’s income, I would prefer to know how’s the pyramid structure looks like for Malaysians’ income level, so that we know where we stand in the country as compared.

Anyone knows where to find this kind of source?

Hi LYN brothers,

I had a Japanese company offer last week. The position is Senior Sales Executive. The basic paid is RM3K+ and petrol allowance is RM 1.70 per KM + medical + around 2 months bonus each year and so on.

Just wondering the petrol allowances? Why given so much on petrol? Any recommendation?

what is happening? When company pay rm0.50/km, everyone complain. Now they giving rm1.7/km, you say funny.
I think the company would really expecting you to travel a lot, and they willing to give out such allowance, last time got one company give out petrol card, you can use the card for yourself usage, and they have no limit of you using it as long as not pump on another person car.

Actually i ask for basic 3.8k but the MD said unable to meet the requirement but he insist that 'we've a very funny thing, is that our company petrol claim is RM1.70/km, so you able to claim and that will be definitely extra'. After i heard, i feel the claim is quite higher than my previous job much.

About the petrol card, actually alot company will provide petrol card for permanent staff especially sales department. My 1st job(6 years ago) also provide, but one thing is the petrol card are not able to claim for own.

Anyway, RM 1.70/km is sounds interesting. Hopefully can get the job brows.gif
