i was sitting on one end of a row...i received one sms .... the phone was silent
i took out the phone and read my sms

a crazy man from a row above me..and he's sitting on the other end of the row, he shouted and say " can u pls stop using ur phone"...

the cinema was quite empty la.. maybe around 20-30 ppl only

think he's finding problem "

I only dislike those who have watched the movie talking about the next scenes.

For example, Resident Evil... there's a part where the zombie (Stevie) walking around at the gas station. Then, there was this stupid fellow who sat behind me said "Nama dia Stevie, kena tembak kat palak".................. then it was the scene. Somemore, throughout the movie, he leaned on my seat and talked to his friend. There were a few times that he accidentally leaned on my shoulder and never apologized at all.

what i hate was weird people laughing at no real reason. like this time i went and watch some show with my friend, his cousin went nutters and started joking at every scene. or those were serious situation they have to poke something stupid. to be honest i dont really mind sms'es and calling that much, if its a brief one that is.

ive never had horrid experience with shows, maybe cause im dead picky with the movies i watch.

the worst is stupid f**k parents who bring thiers kids to cinema.....

Last time when im watching Initial D with my gf, the cinema is full house and There's this one guy sitting in front of me, he's tall and i can't see the screen clearly. I have to look tilt my head left and right to catch the subtitle. And at the same time, there's this couple sitting beside us, the guy have a really bad breathe that you could smell even he sit 3 seats beside me. And throughout the movie, he keep whispering to his gf. Me and my gf end up watching the movie while holding our nose. Damn annoying.

The other one is when King Kong premier. The cinema is full house too and there's this one chubby girl behind me kicking my seat the whole time. Feels like i wanna throw my pop corn and my coke at her.

Hhmm... some people find phones very irritating especially in dark places like a cinema. Perhaps, I should go out and buy a GSM Jammer and use in the cinema. At least my RM 11 to watch a movie is worth it.

BTW I hate it when those bugger keep on kicking behind my chair. Even if he's tall, the space in newer GSC cinema is quite big.
BTW once went to watch Triple X 2 at TGV 1U, no air cond, inside the cinema became hot & stuffy. End up getting refund.
Last week went for 30Days of nite, the stupid GSC worker gave patrons a surprise. He put in wrong movie, Triangle . I was like WTF

My very bad experience is at GSC 1U when watching King Kong. When everyone is ready to for the show but after 10 minutes of the showing time we still seeing blank screen. Then someone went to ask the staff and they said got technical problem. After another 10 minutes a GSC staff came in and told us fixing the problem so will be some delay. So we wait and wait. Then the guy came in again and informed us technical problem cannot be fix. Dono what light bulb spoilt already. Therefore will refund ticket for us. OMG SUX!!!! After waited for around 30 minutes only tell us this problem.

So as usual some went to scold the staffs, some went for refund while for me i see others reaction first. Then i saw a lady argue with manager. So i also followed her. She requested a refund ticket with the Gold Class. Then more and more ppl saw we argue and joined us. Around 20+ ppl at there at the moment. But the manager unable to decide as the upper lvl person is not around. Talk and talk then finally he said cannot. What he can do is give him the contact and selected date/time. Then they will arrange it for us.

Of course i'm not satisfy with it. I so wanted to watch the movie on that day. I saw the timetable around 30 minutes later got a King Kong show. So i asked them to check the seats. Here and there told me the reason cannot check coz this n that reason. SUX!. I also scold n scold then he also cannot tahan and ask me go to the counter to get the seats. Then another argue. I demand for which seat i need and he told me 'Please don't select the seat. I so damn angry with it and i said NO WAY I WANT THAT SEAT!!!! Now is the GSC problem and he still dare to ask me not to select seats. I scold and scold again then the ticket staff also cannot stand it and he press the seat then print out the ticket for those seats that i want then settle. So easy. Then i told the manager, 'See so easy to settle.' So damn frustrated and feel they dono how to handle those situation.

In the end i watched my King Kong for 5 hours. Reason?? The show is 3 hours together with 2 hours waiting at GSC. Spent my whole noon at GSC Cinema.

I had 1 very weird experience too. It's super irritating. The ppl behind me keep asking me to sit lower cos they can't see. At first it was ok. I try to sit lower. But they still complain. I'm a girl with the height of 160cm. How tall I can be???!!!! I was so frustrated! I was almost lying down on the chair... I wanted to scold them but that time I was quite young so i didn't scold them. After the movie, my back was so sore cos didn't sit properly...


Another experience happen to my friend. I was there too. I think we were watching ninja turtles. The guy beside my friend take off his shoes and cross his leg. He say it was very smelly . But lucky i can't smell it... hehe...

seriously, cinema management should consider putting a bouncer inside the cinema, then can control all this ah beng..

same thing happened to me, expect mine happened in tgv klcc. i forgot the movie already, some spy kid with blonde hair.

anyway, i wouldn't call this a bad experience, but there was this incident in gsc: before the movie started when everyone was finding their seats, there was this one middle-aged uncle, (i think he was drunk) kept changing seats. when he eventually settled down, he overheard a group of malay boys chit-chatting loudly and he suddenly gave those boys a lecture! something about not being able to speak english or something. luckily the boys didn't get violent, just answered back the uncle with some 'apa la... mabuk' comments. the uncle eventually moved seats again and finally left the cinema b4 the movie started

I still remember that I watched Finding Nemo with the cinema packed with families (parents + kids). There's this little girl kept running from the back of the aisle to the screen and then suddenly, she fell down beside my seat. Then, she looked at me with tears in her eyes. I held her up and comforted her. Then she said "kor kor.... nemo.....". Then, my friends called me nemo after that day.

Luckily no one remember that incident anymore.

The thing that i don't like is they are not professional at all. The guy told me this is the FIRST TIME happen for them. So they don't know how to handle it. Great answer. And when i want to select the seat that i one he dare to say i cannot select seat. I really want to kill him. Ur fault and still ask me not to select seat. Once i get my ticket that the smart staff print for me i directly said SMART GUY.... Then i told the manager. See so easy to settle....pissed me off.

In the whole session, when they first informer guy told us the show will delay there are some ppl went out to buy extra pop corn and drinks. If you're them do u really get pissed off....

If this happen again to me hahahaha i think i will scold until their top management.

got lots of bad experience related to watching movie in cinema as i was a hardcore movie-goer once...but for me, of all the bad incidents, the one related to handphone are the worst one...be it ring tone, answering call, sms-ing, etc...for what ever reason, i cannot accept people doing it in the cinema...izzit hard to understand that u SHOULD NOT answer call or sms-ing during the show?...izzit hard to turn off or set ur handphone to silent mode?...even after so many advertisments made and shown before each movie starts, people still doing it...for me, it just shows that these people are inconsiderate, selfish, retarded and ignorant...come on la, u got 24 hrs in a day...izzit so hard to ignore the phone for just 2 hrs (or some movie 3 hrs)?...if it's that hard to resist urself from operating the handphone for that shot period of time, just resist urself from going to the cinema la...u don't disturb other people, u don't give bad experience to others and u don't get bad experience from others...

Worst experience was this couple sitting behind me. The bf was kinda like retelling the whole story to the gf. The movie was in English, the bf was describing everything to the gf in Mandarin. By everything, I mean EVERYTHING. From silver bullets are to injure and kill werewolves to the team of villains which started from 4 and slowly going down to 3 because 1 got killed.

Yeah, I hate people who revisit movies just to spoil it to everyone else

the bad experience for me was when some idiots behind my seat keep talking loudly without stop explaining about the movie to another dude and start kicking my seat...irritating

Luckily for me i have not encountered any bad experiences for the past 5 years

Has anyone witness quarrellings and fights in the cinema before? That type should be extreme I guess.

Going to movies where the cinema is empty would be freaky too I guess. Any lone girl could be raped or molested. Nice environment for those creeps.

Bad experience usually associated with kids making noises and running here and there and the parents just let them be. dun bring kid to cinema if the parents cant control their own kids or dun even wanna be bothered with them. i dun mind story-teller but please keep the voice low. sms-ing and brief voice call are fine with me as long as they talk softly and turn the phone into silent mode (i do it sometimes too, and i kept my voice low, turned the hp to silent mode and only do it if the call or the sms is urgent).

i wonder if it's bcoz u also did it, then u don't mind people doing it...if that's ur reason then u my fren is one of those bad experiences (no offense, just voicing out my opinion)...and most probably if i encounter u in a cinema, i might just embarrass u by 'shushing' u so loud that other people are also force to agree with me...but not to worry, that only happens if ur voice is within my hearing range and ur handphone light is within my seeing range...

i LOVE going to the cineplex alone. those with partners say pathetic la, boring la, ask them to go f***ing swivel. I am there for the movies not for your bloody company.

- handphone or SMS are equally annoying. the light annoys just as much as the light. i could care if you are a doctor, can't have 2 hours to watch a movie uninterrupted? don't watch!
- talking about the story or explaining stuff -> very much annoying. don't ruin the show just because you are too stupid to comprehend or have short attention spans. watch it again or ask later.
-going to toilets -> YES, it is annoying. can't you time your f***ing bladder. go before the movie and for f*** sake, don't go ordering a BIG coke and use that as an excuse.
-EATING. yes EATING! for f*** sake, eat before the movie or during trailers or whatever. the crunching sound is indeed distracting.
-people kicking chairs and shaking legs annoyingly affecting front seats.
-block heads (depends la). sometime the head blocking you is doing so because the head in front of him/her is blocking that bugger. can tolerate. but otherwise, sit the f*** down properly. TGV Balakong stairs is much appreciated.

which is why i watch a blockbuster twice. once during opening day and once three weeks after opening night as those retards would have cleared. less famous the movie generally have more civilized fans as then, only real movie buffs who know cineplex etiquette will visit.

suddenly the monster appear..to me it's ok..cos it's predicted.

i think it depends on the movie. i only prefer watching alone if its a drama or something. spectacles and event movies are best enjoyed with friends. and of course, making out in a theater is always great stuff.

Of course your hp light is distracting...duh! HP backlights nowadays are made bright so that you can use it in the bright daylight. So it really doesn't take a genius to figure out that it really is very annoying in the dark, especially when you're trying to watch a movie!

And if you really must check your sms in a movie, cup your hp so that the lights don't make others wanna spank you...or worse...

Bad experience I got ALOTT!!..

1. When i was watching Madagasgar.. I got some stupid Kid who cried half of the whole show.. Time to time some of the audience was shouting to ask the Kid to shut up. In the end the parents of the Kid decided to bail with the all the angry faces they facing.

2. When i was watching Harry Potter.. behind me was some small Girl.. who always keep asking her mother whats happening and such.. At suspense moment she started screaming..... *frustrating*...

3. Lord of The Rings III.. This one is a real masterpiece.. (not the movie, the crowd).. Behind me was some old man that everytime Gollum speak he repeat what he says.. and next to me was 2 girls where time to time the girl had to update what going on the other one... I was truly WTF when people was cheering when Gandalf repeal those black flying dragon creatures.

4. Transfomer.. because behind me was some shortass girl.. Her BF always keep asking me to slouch.. so i was really uncomfortable thoughout the movie. I wanted to find another seat but it was all full. Which made the movie extra crappier for me.

With all the bad experience I made a few guidelines.

-Avoid watching kiddy movies in cinema.. most of the time you get children screaming and crying that the movie it self.
- Watch the show at eitier late night or early morning as to avoid the retarded crowd.
- Dont go to cinema at all.. go get DVD and watch at home..

Thats quite a list. But I don't think there's anything wrong with cheering onscreen action. Its adds to the feel and excitement. Obviously you have not been to a Star Wars premiere. Cheering and clapping throughout the main title crawl is common there.

Add to the list of your guidelines
-watch the movie one or two weeks into the run, best on weekday afternoons/early evenings.

So far dont have any really bad experience...i dont like someone sit behind me though.

People who give a running commentary on the happenings on the screen bug the heck out of me.

People who answer their cell phones.

People who have to keep getting up and go to the bathroom.

People who Marge Simpson like hair who has to sit right in front of you.

Giggly teens who are not paying attention to the screen but are talking all the time.

People who take up all the arm rest space with their elbows.

my experience 1: since i'm tall, my head sometimes block back ppl. I admit it. There was once when there was a small kid (7-10 yrs) sat behind me. He keep tickling my ears, i know he wants me to go lower.

my experience 2: this is what i SAW with own eyes. at cinema at the curve. malay people acting kampung style.
they put their legs up on the chair in front and dig their toes. nobody sitting in front of them that time!

lol he is that digi taiko issit? next time you see him i think you better dun sit beside cos the popcorn will shake until all spill out

aiyo that day i watch bee movie got some malay gina kia but they gina i nvm.....they talk so damn laugh until so many ppl was like wtf why movie they talk so laugh......lucky is gina kia if not i scare ppl beat them up

one thing i cant stand are people calling excessively when you are watching the show. my parents are one such, they'd call and call and call and call and call. even after you rejected the call,ignored the vibration and stuff. untill you have to give in and tell them you are watching a damn movie.

then they start to ask lar, what time you comming back lar can buy supper lar.

damn wtf, and it always happens and when they are in the mood, they can miss call up to about 8-15 times !
