simple:

ring tones in cinema = unwanted sound = annoyance
voice answering call = unwanted sound = annoyance

so:

handphone in silent mode = no ring tones = phone owner doesn't realize incoming call = no answering call = no annoyance

read between the lines la...do they need to put straight forwardly it in the ads for u to understand this

aiseh, enuf with the "family members are admitted to the hospital" reasoning la...we predicted already u people will come out with this excuse...it's already a classic, no need to emphasize more...and the sad thing is, it didn't justify the act of answering phone call in the cinema...if it's really an emergency, then u should do it outside, thus u avoid being an annoyance to others...i just don't understand why u people insist on answering the phone inside the cinema?

and the "there is no rules stated calls are not allowed to be answer in the cinema" reasoning...i guess ur common sense is a bit rusty there...brush up on it and u might find out u'll be a better person...like i said before, do they need to spell out one by one (in the ads) so that people like u can understand?...if the answer is yes, then my fren, u should sit down and  think long and hard before u go watch a movie in the cinema next time...

and "just do it ethically"....ppffft...it's like saying "annoy other people ethically"....doesn't sound right, no?

for me, every time before the movie start, I OFF my phone, and ask my wife do the same also, OFF it.  If you knew there's anything important going on and someone might need to contact you urgently... don't go into cinema, better stay still at home so that you are always reachable.

Emergency can't be predicted? Family members admitted to hospital? That's a load of bull crap excuses.  Name me one person you know that has taken an emergency family phone call in cinema, then I rest my case.

If it's soooo urgent and important to answer the phone call inside the cinema, better don't watch the movie in cinema, better watch at home and you can talk as loud as you want.

not only u lack of common sense (by not getting what the ads is trying to tell u), u're also lack of comprehension (even after u read my previous post and quote it)...i think u should stop now bro bcoz u're just embarrassing urself

and the "i don't see much annoyance" statement, look around bro...there's other people, u're not alone in the cinema...don't be that selfish...

and regarding the "answering the call outside the cinema" statement...i was ONLY referring to ur classic "emergency" excuse...meaning (sorry guys, i have to explain this to him bcoz he had a hard time understanding it) if it's really an emergency like u put it, why would u come back in after answering the call and be an annoyance?...just go take care of that "emergency" and never come back la...family members admitted to hospital (THIS IS UR STATEMENT) and u continue watching the movie after u got the news?...wow, u are a very caring person 

"80% of people here had answered a call in a cinema before", huh? ...may i ask u when was the last time u went to watch a movie in a cinema?...if ur statistic is even close, i think all we hear in "ur" cinema is either voices of people answering call or shushing/shouting to stop people from answering call...

It's nt wrong to check ur hp once a while..when ppl chat thru sms, i never felt annoyed coz i really concentrate watching the movie so the surroundings won't bother me unless my chair is being kicked, talk loudly, stupid kids running around and especially ringing hp..

Why you just create a petition and ask all the cinema management in Malaysia nt to sell popcorns & built signal jammer inside the cinema hall and see  how many ppl actually agree with ya

I don't mind going to cinema , im used to shouting and in fact i enjoy it too. its not a cultureshock anymore going to cinema in malaysia try to understand those so called educated pupil . im not bother about it now. its up to them really, most of the time the culprits were the one embarassed not me.  you don't like the rules? you don't come to Cinema , not me.
