anyway... back to the bad experience in cinema, as I mention b4 my kid's godfather is with GSC, so I got quite a few stories from him, from the cinema operator sides of stories.

Many months back there's an indian mega block movie, and it causes a small riot at one of the cinema because of the movie was delayed, they even almost burned down the cinema! doh.gif

Things they found in the cinema, from the common rubbish, wallets, handphones to something bizzare like condoms (used sweat.gif), panties, soiled diapers, stash of cash, handcuffs and firearms.

An off duty policeman try to watch the movie for free as the show is fully booked, even beaten up one of the cinema attendants, so they call in the bigger ranking one (their guardian lar, the one always got weekly free tickets and popcorns)... then the next thing is the show down of rankings

The way Jack Sparrow filming the latest movies, one of the method is empty out half of the popcorn container, make a small holes in front and put the mini camcorder in it. Usually cinemas will have some undercover guys in it, especially during the first few screenings of block buster movies to catch Jack Sparrow.

for me, popcorns is part of the cinema experience, as long as they don't eat it so loud until CHIK CHAK CHIK CHAk!! I'm fine with it.

For me the top 3 annoyance is:
Number 3 annoyance
Kids in cinema, without parent controlling them, running up and down, and crying. Worst experience is while watching Superman returns. We booked the 10:30pm show, thinking there shouldn't be any kids, but we were wrong! Many family bring their kids along, and some are dress up in superman costume. First they are cute to look at but the annoyance starts immediately when the movie begins. "Mommy! Where's superman?" "Daddy I wan go pee pee!" "I wan oin oin!", and there's this less than 1 year old baby crying nonstop in there. doh.gif And she only take the baby out after 15 minutes of crying non-stop. doh.gif

Number 2 annoyance
Those ah beng and ah Lian's super loud ringtone, and super bright screen, it will spoil any good moments of the movies. Worst experience is while watching Ghost Riders, this ah Lian seated on front row of me but at the other far end, her phone keep on ringing loudly throughout the whole movie, some more her phone is modified with those super bright colored LEDs, so we end up with a disco lights in the cinema every time her phone rang, even after multiple loud SSHHHH!! from us she still doesn't bother to switch to silent. I almost lost my patient wanted to throw my mineral water bottle at her, luckily me wife stops me.

Number 1 annoyance
Movie commentator wannabe spoiling the story line for you. My worst experience is watching Identity, this ******* seating behind me already told his friends who is the actual killer even before the movie starts. mad.gif And While watching Starwars:III, this girl behind me keep on telling her bf, "Eh!! I think Palpatine is the bad guy lah!!! See See!!! I told you so!!!" doh.gif

front row experience eh?
mine even worst, got a free tickets to watch Storm Rider (a real crappy movie anyway)
Only found out my seat was at the front row, extreme left.

So throughout the whole movie I had to tilt my head 45 degree up, and 45 degree right, and it's in the largest hall some more. I watched the whole movie in a distorted state, and walk out the cinema with an aching neck and a sore bud. rclxub.gif

Ever since that day I also vouched not to watch any more movies within the first 5 rows.

for me, every time before the movie start, I OFF my phone, and ask my wife do the same also, OFF it. If you knew there's anything important going on and someone might need to contact you urgently... don't go into cinema, better stay still at home so that you are always reachable.

Emergency can't be predicted? Family members admitted to hospital? That's a load of bull crap excuses. Name me one person you know that has taken an emergency family phone call in cinema, then I rest my case.

If it's soooo urgent and important to answer the phone call inside the cinema, better don't watch the movie in cinema, better watch at home and you can talk as loud as you want.

Come to think of it, about the noises in cinema... there was a time I went into a movie feeling perfectly well at first, but later I got a runny nose attack, maybe due to aircon too cold.
So what do you do when you had a runny nose? Blow it? or suck it? Both are definitely a no no in cinema, as blowing your nose will be quite loud, and not to mention constantly sucking it will produce the irritating sniff sniff noise too.
Not wanting to miss any second of the blockbuster by going out or going to toilet, I resorted to sticking both end of my handkerchief into my nose laugh.gif and breath through the mouth. doh.gif Luckily everyone is so engross with the movie and nobody notice this weirdo with a handkie stuck in his nose tongue.gif
I end up with a soaking wet handkie afterward tongue.gif

Back to bad experience in cinema, this about food.
Outside the entrance there's already clearly a big sign saying "No Outside Food & Drinks Allowed", and yet many are still smuggling food items into the hall.
So far the most bizzare food I've smelled and heard (so dark mah, how to see?) in cinema is Nasi lemak and chicken rice, I can regconise the smell of sambal and the santan rice immediately, chicken rice also can be identified easily, plus the noise of the plastic spoon scraping the styrofoam pack doh.gif
Last time my friend smuggled in a whole kfc bucket, and share share among the whole roles of friends there, really salute them on manage to smuggle in something so big and obvious.

Ooii~ still tak berhenti-henti about the hp thingy eh? yawn.gif

btw, have you guys had any UFO (Unidentified Foul Odour) experience in cinema? I had it a few times, once is someone seated in front of me took off his shoes, and his feet smells like he didn't wash his feet/socks for months. Makes me feels like pengsan rclxub.gif
The problem is I don't know which guys in front of me, so I started an act with my friend telling my friend, "Oi~ don't take off your shoes lar, damm smelly lah!! you trying to kill us all issit?" The trick work and the guy in front put back his shoes. tongue.gif

QUOTE(Raikkonen @ Nov 29 2007, 01:57 PM)
Once I watched 'Constantine' at TGV, KLCC with a friend.

Our seats were 1/2 wet  doh.gif
Either it's the moist from the air condition or someone pour some water on it  sweat.gif

Watched the whole movie in those conditions  sweat.gif
Son of a....
Maybe he/she's dead?  laugh.gif
*
you sure the wet seat is not from some one peeing on it? tongue.gif
