I saw this promotion last time in Mario that they got the NDSL for around RM500. That was quite a while ago. You still can ask around.

Don't go to GameMaster, they are over-charging. Last time, when i bought PS2, Mario charged me RM980, 1 memory card, 1 ori/1 cheap controller and 20 free games. GameMaster offered me RM999, 1 controller (ori), no memory card and no free games. Whatta shop.

I will definitely buy PS3 from Mario very soon thumbup.gif

There are no such thing about stuff stability. Everything is the same, either fake or original, depends on how you take care of it. Not all expensive product are known for stability. We terms it as over-charging.

Of course, we should go to the shop that can offer the bargain price because everything is the same. Mario is the answer. You really want to pay more for something that can be offered at lower price, just you trust them more ? doh.gif

i understand wat u mean...but i stil worried about that, cause most ppl in this forum recomend the gametech shop even the mario offer a lower price, this is the major reason y i stil cant make my decision. if most of them recommmend mario shop, then this will make me more confidence to them and willing to buy from them... unsure.gif

yet i scare d mario shop wont withstand longer and thr wil b a problem if got anything hapen to my console.but sory to say that my heart is a little bit overside to the gametech shop as it make me feel more reliable.but,i stil hope that i can purchase a console that wont easily get into problem and with a reasonable price as this is my 1st time buying such console...

hope hear more from urs opinion..tx..

I'm planning to expand my services to Penang by using an agent/representative there. Based on your comments in this thread, it looks like the shops may not be the right guys for me to tie up with.

Presently I have a couple of members there that I mail games to but I'm planning to have someone based there to do distribution and collection of games. Helps to improve the waiting time between games.

Are there enough PS3 gamers there to support this? What do you guys think? Would appreciate your feedback on this.

To ooj,

I am not considered a hardcore gamer, but since I stays in Penang I can give you some humble opinion.

1) There are not many PS3 owners in Penang, for now. It's getting there, but we still need times. For now, I think a scale of 5:200.
2) Maybe I am wrong, but Penang ppl tend to save more than spend. Hence, your rental service will be a good idea, but you better make sure that you are in a strategic location.
3) I doubt that PS3 will ever get modded very soon, hence people still now reluctant to get PS3.
4) However, If I own a PS3, I will prefer buying instead of renting.
5) I had heard cases that the rent become "permanently rent", guess you will have to be careful. I am sure you have this covered.
6) For shops, Well the shops here tend to be smaller in size compare to KL, Klang Valley and Selangor. I don't think that they will agree to "partner" with you.
7) I haven't see a dedicated "Game" shop in Penang since One Stop Midlands open.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Well, I really can't choose. If I am really forced to choose, I probably will go to Game Tech. Yes, the price might be a bit more expensive, however I am more confident in that place because the boss and the worker is more patient and knowledgable on the stuffs there.

For Mario, unless the boss and two long time shopkeep there, the rest just want to get the deal done and send you away. I don't really like that kind of attitude.

I don't know whether it's still the case. However, Mario is reluctant to offer warranty for more than 1~2 months. For Gametech, they say they will fix your stuff in the period of 12 months if there are any problems. You guys better check it out.

Please post what your package and how much you get when you bought your consoles.

Thank you.
