i bought 25 aug 2007 so they give 1 year warranty so i got 3rod so my stil warranty left 3month
i told my x360 3rod warranty ace shop boss he said charger me RM180 Fix 3rod

they just give u warranty for the xbox360.. not the 3rod warranty. u must be clear for that when the first time u bought ur machine. almost all shops are doing like that. they give u warranty for the machine, not the 3rod. i hope u understand what i'm trying to say. even bernard will charge to do x-clamp eventhough u are still covered in shop warranty.

You need to understand that XBOX360 and PS3 sold in malaysia are all parallel imports, meaning there is no official warranty from Microsoft Malaysia or Sony Malaysia.

The consoles are however given warranty by the country where the local game shops bought them, which is often Singapore nowadays. So in order for your game shop to claim warranty, they need to send your console back to Singapore, that's obviously not very efficient.

also.. my guess is your XBOX360 is modded, thus really no point sending it to anywhere since the warranty is void.

and since the game shop cannot claim warranty from anyone, they will have to charge you the repair fee...can't say it's unfair or what, imo.

me and my bro will be gettting a PS3 plus a 19inch or 21inch monitor maybe during next month. our budget is set at 2300

but i dont think we can look at penang sellers for limited our budget. i went to check someshops in penang, one shop at caffue selling at 1350 with only a DS3, the console (40) and i think no cables. and that megamall one, no need to tell la.

will be checking this thread's 'feveret' shop - ACE prangin - before deciding to whether buy here or KL. after all, if here, servicing would be a breeze la. if u buy in KL, definitely going there need more $$$

If you've come down to KL often, then just get from KL then since quite a number of reputable shops around, so you get a better customer after service. Otherwise, if it's not convenient, then just get from Penang itself then.

i think if u can do really good bargain,u can get it within ur budget... dell's 19" wide is just about 669.and a ps3 at 1400.. ok lah tu. hehehehe...

I went to BJ with friends last week to ask about the PS3 and PSP price.

For PS3, the price is RM1450 with nothing extra. They say that it is because the demand is high in Penang now and the supply is very low.

For PSP, the price is RM850 for the normal package. The price increase a little bit compare to a month ago.

Let say in BJ, as mentioned on previous message, the Game Tech for me is the only choice. There's a Mario there on Ground Floor and a GameMaster resurrection in 2nd Floor, but the price and offer not so good. You can check them out no matter what.

In One Stop Midlands, there are two shops lefts for consoles and I did not have any info from them.

In Prangin Mall, you can check ACE and the Games Tower. You can forget about the Mario and GameMaster there as they are totally unprofessional (thats what I get last time I went).

There's a shop in Sg Ara that sells PSP too. However, because its a multi-purpose shop, the price will not be competitive enough and I have doubts on their services too if problem comes up.

There's another shop in Air Itam (opposite the Kong Ming Secondary Sch) and within the coffee shop. It's a shop nevertheless. the shop ownder do sells the consoles. You can check it out and he is quite resoureful.

i just buy PSP at GameTech, BJ complex just now...

firstly they offer me psp slim + 4GB ms at RM790.
the package are:

but i am buying with 8GB ms + headphone with remote for RM900..
They are quite patient & helpful with me as i ask too many questions...

I also ask Marionet at 1st floor BJ complex and they qoute me PSP 4GB ms for RM800. But the shopkeeper some how do not want to "layan" me so i decided to go at GameTech.

Glad you got a PSP. Can I ask you why the firmware version is not v3.90? Is it because it is not stable yet?
