IMO, anyone who still want to pay for annual fees are either needing a hole in their head or just wanted to show off. Free annual fee and cash rebate iare my No.1 priorities. The later is simply money given for doing absolutely nothing.

I presume you referred to Amex Gold cc. Purchases at petrol stations, selected bookstores, as well as autopay for utility and telco bills would give you 5x points.

However, if you are aiming for the Longines watch, all these purchases may contribute only small amount and are insignificant to give you a good chance of winning.

With reference to the rules & regulations of the contest, it will be based on posting date and not transaction date. Since tomorrow is a public holiday, your transactions made today could only be posted on Tuesday, 1st Sept. You stand a good chance in the running for the watch if you spend 8k today.

I was given a water tumbler when I applied for Amex Gold cc at MBB MV branch early this month. The tumbler looks cheap but it's better than nothing.

Damn, my AMEX credit card application was rejected.

I have both charged card and credit card by AMEX. Even if you have AMEX Plat CC, you still can get Gold CC like Dozz.

Did you find out why your application was rejected?

I don't mean to offend you, but why are you always rejected by banks? It's because of your high credit exposure? You have any PL, BT or cc debts yet to be settled?

I've just received my Amex Gold cc this morning. It was sent by MBB internal courier service, and not via Poslaju. I applied on 3rd Aug and it took exactly 1 month, just "on time" to meet my tolerance level.

How I know. Just called to Amex careline and was informed that it is still in processing. The Amex CS apologized on the mistake done by his colleague.

I don't have PL except for BT and instalment scheme and total debts are less than 10k.

I am applying Amex credit card not because of wanna use it. Just for collection.

There is no difference between Amex Charge Card and CC except for credit card is able to hutang and no finance charge until year end and thereof 9%.

My monthly usage for AMEX Gold Charge card is just RM200-300 and wholly for petrol usage.

If that's the case, your application is in under process, unless you receive letter from MBB stating that your application is unsuccessful. You know MBB's efficiency, just have to be patient.
