Very nice, but I find the hot metal barrels and the smoke kinda distracting. Maybe if the smoke was more subtle? And how about adding some scanlines to the green projection like the holograms in Star Wars? It looks too perfect right now.

"Bravo to CAPCOM Houston,Tranquillity Base here, the Eagle has landed".

"Roger,Twanq....Tranquillity,we copy you on the ground. You got a bunch of guy about to turn blue, now we are breathing again, thanks a lot."

--Conversation between Armstrong on Eagle LM,with Charlie Duke at MCC Houston,as the CAPCOM.(capsule communicator)

So,finally I was able to made the moon touchdown scene. Not really complete, but enough for me to playing with the render before the final version of the image would be made.

Really tested my patient for this one.Almost 3 days render for one render,so I think instead of rendering full scene for once,I would use render-pass & editing process to reduces the time that need to finish one image. blink.gif

Hi guys, this is my updated website with my latest 3d works.. Mostly interior and architecture. I will like to hear honest comments from you guys about my work. notworthy.gif

Clivengu.com

This thread doesnt seem to have much updates... I do hope to see more people involve as I am very interest to see how other people is doing in this industry in Malaysia...

I hope you guys wouldn't mind if I start a bit of survey here... I need some input and suggestion for myself.

I have been doing 3D for Interior & Architecture (one-man-show) for the last 4-5years. I constantly trying to improve my 3d skill, but due to tight schedule on many projects, I can hardly try and explore new things. My own career has reached a limit where I can only do as much as myself can do. It is very hard for me to go further by myself. That is why I am thinking to somehow expand my small "company" name. Currently I work without a proper office... Just work from home.. So without much commitment.

My idea of expanding my business, is perhaps start hiring a few junior 3d designers, to assist me in basic modelling and managing less difficult jobs. To do that I will need to commit on a proper office rental + workstations for them. But in return, I will have more time to do better and explore more interesting jobs in future.

My future targets are:
1. Targeting more Architectural Jobs especially those from Property Developers. Currently I have most jobs from interior designer/architect with tighter budget as they do not require too "high-end" visualisation. Therefore the cost I charged is a lot lower than the professional 3d visualisation firms. I dont want to just do a nice job.. I wan to do the Best Visual tongue.gif
2. Trying to venture into architecture Walk-through Animation. I have not done any animation jobs as they are consider "BIG job" and I yet to meet such opportunities and im still limited by my skills.

I am aiming bigger here.. I dont know how long will it takes for me to reach my goal, but I think is time for me to breakthrough my limit.

I got many questions and things I like to find out... I do hope any of you guys can help... even if they are just a small help.

My questions are:
1. Do you think my 3d work has the "quality" to have people willing to join my team? Do I need to improve my skill a lot more in order to Qualify as a so call "art director" of a small company of my own?
2. I like to find out what are the leading 3d visualising companies in Malaysia. Doing architectural rendering and animation walkthrough. I will like to benchmark myself against them. Kindly share the company name if any of you guys come from the same industry.
3. From what school/courses are 3d visualisers came from? Personally I am a Interior Design/architecture Graduate.. I came out to work as 3d visualiser because I like to specialise in just this one skill. But I wondering who are the best candidates for the jobs. Are they multimedia 3d graduate? or same like me, architect / ID base. I will definitely need someone with knowledge in term of basic animation for the walkthrough job and able to work on programmes like Aftereffects. I dont know how to use aftereffect but.. I still hope I can learn.

I really welcome any suggestion or sharing experience that may help me in going the the right direction. Many Thanks in advance!

PM if you like to share with me personally ! smile.gif

Finally got a time to render & make some post-production adjustment.
Here is the progress of toward the colonization of moon.

-The practice module,ISS experiment bay payload with Soyuz-TMA1 spacecraft docking adapter, overseeing the earth at Earth orbit. This is the spacehab module that the astronaut used for micro-gravity experiment. They will learn how to assemble the Moon orbit station FREEDOM after the module was docking with moon orbital spacecraft that was sending to the moon earlier before during the manned moon mission.

-Group of astronauts conducted a practice for installation & assembly of the next space station in moon orbit.

-Meanwhile at earth, the worker at VAB is busy preparing the next launch system to carry a payload of 35,000-48,000kg moon station spacehab. The Spacehab would be attached to launch vehicle Icarus 1B,from Icarus launch vehicle family & make it ready for departure from VAB to processing facility for further inspection.

-The Icarus IB,finally arrived at the Launch Complex 39A(LC-39A)
The new, heavy payload launch vehicle getting all-sytem check at KSC LC-39A.The new heavy launch vehicle are reusable & can be mated to launch the shuttle-type space transport for moon orbit station assembly.

-As the power transfer & auto ignition-sequencer start countdown was completed, the main booster was set to fired,& propel the heavy payload launch vehicle to blistering through the skies & getting the moon orbital payload(service module SpaceHab) to rendezvous with moon orbital spacecraft,to construct a permanent living quarter on lunar orbit.

-After 170 seconds of full-powered flight of main booster, the stage was finally jettisoned,& booster stage main instruments computer was ready to pop-out the pilot parachute via controlled explosive at main booster stage top frustum cone, effectively slowing the main booster stage before altitude control system would deploying the next drogue parachute to slowing down the booster even further & ensuring the stabilization of whole structure before going for ocean impact recovery.

user posted image

-The main booster stage is going for ocean impact recovery. After succesfully splashdown, the main booster would be recovered by nearby navy,or marine rescue team & the booster would be refurbished & reused for the next flight.

-After earth orbit insertion was complete, the upper stage booster payload is fired, sending the spacecraft into translunar injection & onward to moon orbit.
