Last weekend (Saturday & Sunday), i juat watched three movie. Night watch, Day Watch and It's a Free World. All r nice movies. Night watch and Day Watch are russian movies, some sort like The Lord of The Ring but in modern days. U need to watch Night watch first coz it's the first part of the trilogy. Pity me, i watched the other way around. later, only i know the movie is based on three novels i.e The Night Watch (Night Watch), Twilight Watch (Day Watch) and Final Watch (internet sources said the title for 3rd movie will be Dusk Watch).

It's a free world oso not bad. Very nice storyline, and good british accents (i luv british accents compare to US).

Juno. Really good, Ellen Page is wub.gif what a great actress she is btw. the music is great, so is the screenplay and the supporting cast were up there with Page.

Such an emotional movie.

Already watch a 2005 Korean Movie title Jeni, juno.. So after watch the english version of Juno, i still prefer the Korean version..

BTW, yesterday i spent 4++ hours watching Australian Open, almost 2 hours for BPL (MU vs Reading) and another 6 hours watching movie..

These are 3 movies i watched yesterday:

1) The Jammed: 8.5/10
A good movie about human traficking, i prefer this movie compare to another movie with the same theme i.e 'Trade'.

2) Sweeny Todd (2006 released): 9/10
Never bother to watch this movie at first but when i saw advertisement about the new version of this movie featuring Johnny Depp (2008 release), i think i better watch this first so that i can compare btw the two.. Really good movie and it will be a hard task for our Jack Sparrow to make it better..

3) Beowulf: 7.5/10
The story is so-so, but i like the awesomeness of the CGI they are using to produce this movie.. The finger licking good angelina jolie still looks almost 100% real and thus scorchingly hot..

Hitman: 7/10

Another same old story, i thought i watched Dark Angel male version... Not much to say, American always win against Russian..

Love Lies Bleeding: 8.5/10

I like this kind of story.. If the ending was different, i would give this movie 9 out of 10.

A Mighty Heart: 9/10

Never heard about Daniel Pearl b4, but now i knew. blush.gif Story about journalist being captured in Pakistan, great to see Angelina Jolie in differnt role..

2 more mocies that i just watched...

Tropa De Elite : 9/10

A good Brazilian movie... Kinda slow at the beginning but that's the important part in this movie...

Accross the Universe : 9/10

Another musical movie, i prefer this one compare to 'Once'. The musics are great, better than Juno OST (coz suit my taste tongue.gif ) Would love to get the the OST.

Juz finished watching My Sassy Girl movie, English Version.. What to say.. sweat.gif The korean version of my sassy girl already set a high bar and as expected, this movie not even reach half of it. I didn't get connected to scenes where i supposed to feel sad/ to get the emotion.. 4.5/10 from me.

Other movies that i watch for the last 3 days:

Postal German : 6/10 - humour and nothing else, but it's really a bad humour
Purple violet : 7.5-8/10 - Definitely better than my sassy girl. I'm touched blush.gif
Hancock : 6.5 / 10 - Good action but same story line - super hero cannot die
Made of Honor : 7.5/10 - Good movie but spoiled by the ending. Should have a better ending IMHO.

So, tonite gonna feast my eyes with red cliff. Hopefully, it will be a good movie.

Wow, Red Cliff is awesome. 2hours and 10 minutes really worth it. The art of war or watching the war strategies and formation is damn nice. Can't wait to watch Red Cliff 2.

My rating 9.5/10 blush.gif

Let The Right One In - A Swedish vampire/horror movie. Oddly, I found it a bit unsatisfying in the end yet there is a lot to admire here. The plot itself is rather simple - a young, lonely boy who meets a young (in appearance) female vampire and some kind of love/odd friendship kindles, but it is very well told. The first half is rather too slow for my tastes, but the mood is excellent, and this is a damn well shot film. Some of the scenes are so effective because of how they were shot, key amongst them the swimming pool scene. There isn't a lot of blood and violence, but coupled with the atmosphere and cinematography, when the gore does come, it is very jolting. Twilight this is not. A film I will probably watch again a few months down the road. 4/5

Can't agree more thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

BTW, two movies which i've watched on Tuesday & Wednesday:

Far Cry - 4.5/10
Really disappointed & bored sweat.gif

May i kiss U - 8.5/10
Romantic movie, love the story line, too much talking is the drawback for me tongue.gif

How about Death Sentence, a 2007 movie. Can't believe i only managed to watch it last month and never heard of the movie b4 sweat.gif Awesome and emotional at the same time
9/10 - the women really can't act as a police, that's the only reason this movie doesn't get full mark IMO.

Departure (Japanese movie)
9.5/10
Really good movie, never know a movie about managing dead body can be so nice and emotional a bit.. cry.gif

Ice Age 3 - Dawn of The Dinosaurs
7.5/10
Not as funny as the previous two but still managed to get me laugh

Flakes
9.5/10
Love this movie, enhanced my knowledge about cereal and its history. IMO, the heroine looks like Katy Perry thumbup.gif

The Last House On The Left
8.5/10
Good story but can be better if the ending was different.

This 2 days, watched Lucky Luke, The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus and Shutter Island.

Lucky Luke - 3.5/5 - Comedy/action or should i say comedy/romantic hmm.gif Whatever it is, the story is lite and good to release tension. BTW, it's not english.

The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus - 4/5 - Nice story (not a common story line actually), the pictures oso very good and at the end, does this movie got anything to do with heath ledger??

Shutter Island - 3.5/5 - I hope a good story but this movie got me confused. Dunno who is the hero or telling the truth rclxub.gif

The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life - 9.5/10

Long time haven't seen a very gud movie like this, esp in term of family value. Recommended to watch it with family, but there is where another 0.5 gone, no steamy scenes tongue.gif . And the scene when the wife deflated the air cushion, so touching.

The Misfortunates - 8.5/10

What a family shakehead.gif U must be proud to be one of Strobe family member tongue.gif But too many foul languages sweat.gif (lucky it's not in english)

Interceptor - 6/10

Nothing really good, though that type of enemy kinda new to me.

Carmen - 8/10

Paz Vega was hot = bonus mark thumbup.gif Watched the movie juz bcoz of Paz Vega, but the story not so bad either.

Cirque Du Freak - The Vampires Assistant - 8.5/10

Quite slow, but entertaining. Hoping for a better part 2 icon_rolleyes.gif

Loft - 9/10

Interesting story, unpredictable ending i must say smile.gif

The Secret in Their Eyes - 9/10

2 hours well-spent. Though sometime the dialogues quite dragging, but definitely one of 2009 best movies.

Cell 211 - 10/10

Brilliant movie thumbup.gif That's it!!! No wonder it can win 22 awards.

Winter in Wartime - 8/10

Not a bad movie, quite unpredictable about the enemy.

Kiss Me Kill Me - 7/10

So - so only, expecting a better story.

From Paris With Love - 5.5/10

So another successful story of world police fights against terrorist, killing so many people and didn't get a graze... Wake-up man, u should know by now u r the real terrorist.

Alatriste - 7.5/10

Not really like historical movie but this one quite nice since got Virgo Mortensen

The Crazies - 8/10

Good suspense movie, though the story line not much diff than I'm a Legend, 28 Weeks Later & 30 Days of night.

Pretty Persuasion - 8/10

A mix of comedy and emotion-filled movie.... Not sure why never notice this movie b4.

Long time didn't post in here. tongue.gif Fasting from watching moviez during fasting months smile.gif So for last 2 days manages to watch 5 moviez:

Machete - 7/10

i give 7 coz this movie managed to gather Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan and Michelle Rodriguez in a movie, plus De Niro & Seagal which i dun care tongue.gif The Machete is one lucky guy lorrr.. In term of the movie itself, quite many illogical scenes there sweat.gif Does Machete is based on some sort of comic or what? coz it seems got 2 heroes here, 'Machete' and 'She'.

Knight and Day - 5.5/10

Tom Cruise is no more Grade A actor i think. Dunno why he choose to star in this film, a film about a 'Battery'? rclxub.gif doh.gif

9th Company - 9/10

The gang bang scene aside (not really gang bang though), this movie definitely far better than any war movie by delusional American. Seems to me the Russian really know the purpose of their war with the Afghan, and understand the culture and custom of the Afghan society. thumbup.gif All in all, the good story line and war scenes (except one or two which look clearly unreal).

The Traveler - 7.5/10

The story is fine, but the acting need improvement laugh.gif But it's not bad actually, and i can see the script can be better.

Twelve - 8/10

Good movie except the ending (slightly disappointed) ... I hope for more surprise ending, i think tongue.gif So, JAUHILAH DADAH. thumbup.gif

4 more movies this weekend:

Deadgirl - 8.5/10

Old movie (2008) and I believed this is a small budget movie, but the script is not bad. If they managed to find a better actor for the hero role, this movie could be hit for that year.

A Nightmare on Elm Street [2010] - 8/10

Nice acting, though the story line easy to predict. I prefer this than the old version.

30 Days of Night - Dark Days - 7/10

Slow pace, too many films with the same genre and storyline.

Please Give - 8/10

A simple message but has been conveyed in a interesting way. Like it.
