The LG water filters, the control button are using capacitive touch buttons or the membrane switches?

WD518 is touch on the glass which is capacitive.

WD516 is mechanical button.

So far, no complaint yet for the button.

Hi I am using WD516N since last December.

TLDR: My WD516N 40c water was not warm enough to be used to make baby formula milk which was the purpose of the machine to have the 40c option.

================

I noticed that the 40c water is not really 40c, it feels like 1c-2c more than the normal room temperature water. I was unable to use it to make baby formula milk. Unlike SK Magic that I had before which is very accurate on the water temperature.

A technician was assigned to came to my house and diagnostic was carried out, the technician even brought back my water purifier back to his office for further troubleshooting as the on-site service was unable to figure out what was the issue.

I got a temporary machine (older model) during that few days, I found that the older model 40c water is really the temperature for making baby formula milk.

I wonder anyone else here having the same problem? I wonder if this is a machine defect?

Hi, can you share what's the result after talking with SA?
Mine is same as you. Using it for 6 months. Second cup of 250ml is almost room temperature
*
So I called to LG customer care the other day about this issue, and they told me to turn off the machine for "12 hours" and then "reset the filter usage" after that and then see if the problem persists.

I haven't tried their suggestion yet because to be honest, turning it off for 12 hours is quite troublesome especially in weekdays. May be you can also try it by yourself too.

210 Rm40, 518 Rm50

Main diff:
1. Smaller size
2. No cold water
3. No moving tap

The rest are mostly aesthetics (mood lighting, buttons position etc.)

Wd210 have maximum 90c. Can be adjustable 40,50,60,70,80 and favorite it up to 3 memory.

For the filter, average 1800 liter before need to change for the pre carbon filter every 6 months.

Usually will have slight diff in the temperature due to many factors (weather, temperature of the water supply, temperature of the container etc.)

Not sure if LG can fix it exactly 40°C for u

Max 90°C, but no, cannot set 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90°C

Can set 40, 70 and 90°C only

Dispensing volume is the one u can set every 10ml (starting 120ml), i.e. 550, 560, 570ml etc.

2 filters inside, 1st one capacity 1800L (every 6 mths), 2nd one capacity 3600L (every 12 mths)

Thanks for your reply.

They borrow me an older model when they carried my unit back to their office for further checking. The older model actually perform very well.
I wonder if mine is defective. I have a baby, so this inaccuracy of 40c water is totally unusable and annoying for my daily use.

The water temperature that straight out from the nozzle, I can feel that it’s nowhere near 40c, more like ambient temperature +1c to 2c something like that. You get what I mean.

I will contact my agent see if he could help me to do anything or not. Otherwise I’m not sure what can I do already.

Maybe you try this way, press 40c water and let it flow out around 5 seconds then only take the water of the 40c, you may feel the different too.

Also, just sharing to everyone, WD210AN can favarite the hot water temperature based on user need, like 50,60,70,80.

3m is kinda far, but should be fine as long as ur water pressure is sufficient

Ya have 2 pipes, 1 inlet 1 outlet, inlet is for water supply, outlet is to drain out water used to flush the machine

If place it far from the sink, can drill few holes on the cabinet compartment wall to run thru the pipes too
*
Can i ask if it able to connect to the faucet that attach to sink? Whereby people always say use it to wash vege.
Like the small slim faucet in below link.
