hi the deal look goods, do you have the agent contact number? as looking to port in from maxis. Thanks
*
they are from official telemarketing, not agent. those special deals are for contract renewal instead of new sign up/port in i guess.

Any update from 2nd level regarding your issue

Just dropped them a nasty (but well deserved) email yesterday. They mentioned that the case was sent to their specialised team. Threatened to report to MCMC as well.

Waiting on them to update. I'll be following up closely.

Hello!

I have a 50 Mbps which has been upgrade to a 300 Mbps connection (300 down/50 up). It's RM 99 (approx RM 105/month). There is no longer a contract.

I've since moved out and am using Time at my new place.

Rather than terminate this line and let the grandfathered price go to waste, I'm leaving it up here to whomever that wants it.

A few things to note (for others looking for this info. Sharing here for the benefit of all)

1) RM 10 will be charged to new owner's first bill
2) No new equipment
3) Can't change the service ID
4) You will need to provide a copy of your IC (front and back - please make sure to cross it) so I can submit it TM via email. Apparently no longer need to go to the branch, can just send them an email.
5) They will call you for verification, so you'll need to answer the phone (This happens within 3 working days from the email submission)
6) Once the verification is done, it'll take another 24 hours to sort out the things, then my line will be yours.

(For others wanting to transfer ownership, you'll also need to provided your IC (front and back) as well as an authorisation letter. Email to be sent to help@tm.com.my)

This isn't the only place I'm posting this offer. So whoever PMs me first and is agreeable to the above, would get it.

Please note I'm not gaining anything from this. Simply don't want to let a grandfathered plan go to waste

Anyone use the 2Gbps Unifi in business environment with own router? TM offered me free upgrade to 2Gbps package, but I would like to use our router/firewall instead of their router.

We are currently using 800Mbps with 5 fixed IP where the router/firewall do the PPPoE.

Not yet, since my last update on 20240711 where TM (03-79647000) called to inform me to wait for appointment, I missed 2 calls from TM last Friday morning cos I was sleeping. Oops. Hope they call again soon.

20240719_0946 Missed Call 03-79647000

So just to update. This new technician couldn't do much (expected) but he told me they will escalate this and he will notify once it has been solved. Fingers crossed. 🤞🏼 Not relevant but he also got me a new ppoe password which is muchhh shorter lol.

Side note: the dreaded D Link Black box issue in bridge mode happened during his visit. So most of the time we were trying to diagnose that issue. It didn't seem to revert to the usual speed after a reset. I don't have any other modem to use sooo I'm stuck with this black box. The technician mentioned as well that the black box is quite #$#@$. Many complaints.

TM just called me to offer a 3-month fee waiver in exchange for a 24-month contract. I need your opinion. If you decide to keep the services and not switch ISPs, would you take the offer considering it’s only for 3 months?

Not sure how para lowyat guru will advise.

Hi, want to ask this basic question as I really don't know. Right now I'm myself using unifi already, but I want to try login other unifi ID and password. Will the connection work or failed?

Reason I try login other ID because helping ppl to prefix setup router and send to them plug and play.

Assuming I don't care if I can reach 1 or 2Gbps or not. If TM provide combo router for 2Gbps, can I request the technician on the spot to set it to bridge mode and make the PPPoE dial-up from my Sophos XG-210?

Or need to do it like TIME, call them to change it to bridge mode?

TM technical team are mostly outsourced contractors these days

Most of them have very limited IT knowledge and won't do anything that's out of their SOP

You can try asking but they will probably reject or they straight up have zero idea what you are talking about

If that's the case. Possible to call TM to change it? Or we can change it ourselves depends on which model they provide?

Just tell the technician you want to keep using your current ONU and sell the D-Link.
You might have more problem with the D-Link like broken speed or what not.
Your mission is to get the speed upgrade (especially upload).

As of now it seems TM do not have hardware that works properly at >= 1Gbps. In my opinion if the upgrade is free then take it. If you need to pay for it then don't. At this stage I won't even recommend people to upgrade their internal network gear just to try luck with > 1Gbps.

If I don't care the speed upgrade. They allow me to keep the current ONU with new 2Gbps plan?
Reading posts in this thread make me realized that many experiencing speed drop with the new hardware.

Understood. I just read some posts in this thread that it's workable. But I will try to keep existing ONU since those new hardwares are giving more problems than convenience.

They are more than happy to just hand you the D-Link and go back. As of now it seems they don't take back the ONU.
