OK this makes it clear what's your situation.

For HOUSE A:
Post your DDNS setup and port forwarding setup

For HOUSE B:
Post how you setup your CCTV app

Do both house use the exact same CCTV setup?
*
There is 2 different on mobile network and Tm network.

1. routing
2. DNS

Maybe check both issues first?
Try use 1.1.1.1 as VPN and see can this issues resolved. hmm.gif

If issues solved, then know it is DNS or routing issues, else, need more troubleshoot.

I'm still in the information gathering stage. A lot of "routing problem" and "DNS problem" and "IPv6 problem" is sprinkled all over this forum but nobody can pinpoint exactly what is wrong.

I think your DNS problem is the first of it's kind we know exactly what happened in details.

Don't get me wrong I am not trolling you but I do not remember reading any in-depth analysis of routing problem here.

Yes, just to identify it only happen on TM network or not, using VPN which act as another network for testing ma.

If mobile network and TM + VPN works, means it is TM only network got issues la.
Then the route to the answer is showing up, need start troubleshoot on TM only thing, just like my DNS issues, if I test it on VPN first, I should discover the packet drop issues on DNS router side. laugh.gif

Let's see what user says first. I do not want to be bias in such an early stage of troubleshooting.
I also want to avoid the jump to conclusion steps. There are cases of just disable IPv6 and the problem go away. The user who reported the issue also go away after that.

Not everyone is technical. Even fewer people are interested in root-causing the issue. You are special case. You have the right router, right bank, right DNS server but also the attitude to hunt it down.

Your method have merits. But I also want to know how things are setup that might create the problem.

House A (TIME Internet)
D-LINK AC1200 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router
I bought the same brand CCTV for testing before moving to House B.
Didn't do any setup on the router.
Just plug in the IP CCTV, and connect it to Wifi. Add into the app on my phone.
I can access the CCTV whether I am at home or outside using mobile data.

House B ( TM Unifi)
Fiberhome AX3000
Didn't do any setup on the router.
Just plug in the IP CCTV, and connect it to Wifi. Add into the app on my phone.
I can access the CCTV at home when connected to Wifi only.
If I connect to this Wifi, I cannot access the CCTV at House A.

Sorry to say that the TIME router I got is almost 10 years old.
Now I am blank on how to maneuver the new router setup page.
And I have no idea what is all this.
1_INTERNET_R_VID_500
2_Other_B_VID_600
3_Other_B_VID_400
4_TR069_R_VID_209

And I can't find any VPN option in this Fiberhome AX3000 router.

Do you mind explaining how to setup the VPN ? Thanks.

Also, I am thinking to bring the D-LINK AC1200 Dual Band Gigabit Cloud Router from House A and try it in House B.
Not sure whether it will work for TM Unifi since it meant to use for TIME Internet.

I had the same problem. Since I don't watch it, I don't bother diagnosing the issue. I remember having it quite a long time back. You only had this problem recently?

get you own router asus or tplink then make port forward then settle

Well. I was thinking of buying the TP-Link AX55 for a mesh setup.
But now need to know whether the problem is the router or TM backend.

Else spend money to buy a new router but still cannot remote access CCTV then it's pointless.

Hi, I am just guessing here so you need to try to find the setting.

In your Fiberhome, can you find anything that says UPnP or ALG or any similarly sounding term? Try to turn them ON.
UPnP = Universal Plug and Play
ALG = Application Layer Gateway

Or... Just turn OFF anything that says FIREWALL.

I am thinking your camera don't work on Fiberhome because it cannot open the port automatically using UPnP.
Why you cannot access your TIME camera on Fiberhome is because this camera use RTSP to stream video and the Fiberhome don't support ALG.

Do notification works? Like motion detection and all?

Also did you try updating the firmware for your camera?

Understand, yours is more on white, as it is allowed to look into the configuration of CCTV and router, while me just simple blackbox testing lol.
Which works because router's firmware is blackbox, and are the cause.

Yup, came into same conclusion as yours, as I got the orange router, UPnP is disabled by default.

Even I don't wanna enable it, as you know, sometimes UPnP just leak internal network for those outside network request....
As IPv6 is public by default, so I just leave it as disable la, IPv4 which under CGNat enabled also useless, lol. laugh.gif

PS: I guess you means SPI firewall, yes, it is normally enabled by default, and yes, I always disabled it to prevent such issues, I faced a lot of time on it as well... sweat.gif

Better don't, I sense a lacking knowledge of your side...
If you have no idea about that VID_500, it means you don't know about
1. Your PPPoE account and password
2. The configuration of VLAN 500 and 600 etc

It will take more time to switch router I will say, in days, yes.
Which quicker to take a look into your router's configuration and fix it.

It was sound like router issues, as mention by kwss, seek for those configuration.
Screenshot it, post it out if you know nothing.

For SPI firewall, it look like this.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

ALG is like this, got a lot like FTP, IPSEC etc.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

And UPnP just UPnP.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Also, useless DoS.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Screenshot it, post it out, then kwss will tell you disable or enable it. icon_rolleyes.gif

If you not gonna wait, then simple configuration is
1. Enable UPnP, select as 1_INTERNET_R_VID_500 if it asking you to choose which WAN Interface.
2. Enable all ALG
3. Disable All SPI in firewall configuration
4. Disable all DoS

Screenshot first, then do the change la, for the record to revert it back. thumbsup.gif

yeah, just get unifi to cancel being a payment method. don't use them again for few months for thing to settle down.

you can just abandon the netflix email account..
it's not like it's valid email that you have access to.
just use your own existing netflix id in UPB to prevent your family from redo the mess again.

• disable unnecessary pre-installed apps where possible, or just sign in to all available app in UPB to prevent.

• to avoid your family from installing additional app into UPB (it have 16GB space wehhh), disable play store app. i did this and my kids cannot install android games as they please, and they can't figure out why only i can make play store working.
*
This should be the case since they are like one of the payment method. Just cancel the payment method only. no need to have the access to my netflix account. Just now they call me again saying that the can't cancel it since they don't have the info to my account. From here you can see on how F**k *p their activation method that anybody can simply activate it through UPB and TM simply agree to it without any confirmation sent to my email or sms to my number.

Now I'm stuck to cancel the netflix myself without any password and only the email address which is tttttttttttttttt@gmail.com. its like 16 times of t. tried same 16 t for password but it is incorrect.

THANK YOU !!! THANK YOU !!! THANK YOU !!!

Important thing say 3 times.

Well. Seems like a user problem. (which is me, hahaha)

Something that came to my mind.

I just received my phone bill, RM 20+ for calling 100.
Even though I spent 1 hours+ on the phone with the TM agent, I didnt yell or shout at them.
I was explaining the problem again and again and sometimes she got me wrong, I stayed calm.
Even helped her to write the problem description in the ticket word by word.

And now ME, MYSELF is the problem, at least I didn't feel bad.

Big "F" if they say cannot find to remove the ala-carte; it's bloody inside your bill, with your bill number, with your account number printed out "loud" on the paper.

Raise a dispute with TM to challenge the bill's line item. Raise a request to get the ala-carte removed. What you need is report number. Get report number.

This is what i think of your case:
• obviously somebody "lazy" activated through your UPB, so you cannot avoid responsibility for failure to secure your device.
• having it activated using "tttttttt...@" email address is the best supporting evidence right now that it can't be you, nor will you ever have access to such stupendous email account to be able to gain control through netflix password reset.
• your objective is to get the ala-carte removed.
• you have to accept the charges right now as you yourself found that somebody "lazy" did activate ala-carte after all.
• impossible for TM to not be able to find the ala-carte "unique id" linked to your account and get it removed.
• but insist that you shouldn't be charged further for their failure to get it removed as you are now already requesting it removed, on-the-record.

If they fail to remove the ala-carte which is evidently charged inside your bill AND you have report number to prove you have raised dispute and request to remove ala-carte but denied (under bollocks like "we cannot find it"), you can then proceed to raise SKMM ticket.

(when i tried to create case against ASTRO last month, the SKMM ticket now required that a report was already raised with and dispensed by the provider first, and SKMM ticket now asked to input the report number raised with ASTRO. previously it didn't ask the report number.)

Just saying, firewall bring more trouble than it should be, default, got it reason.
I guess it just kind of blocking incoming connection, so it is "safer", but p2p getting blocked as result.

Not bad la, RM 100 to learn about, understand how's Firewall works, before changing it.

There is many thing we don't really understand, but just use it, change it, and break it.

Just like car, most people know is, drive a car, bare min.
Smartphone, calling people, using app, bare min.

But, to use it max, well, it is a headache, and depend on learning skill.
There is too many stuff to be learn in this world, and there is not enough time for that, lol. laugh.gif

And hei, even most kids know nothing about a PC, but smart on smartphone, saying keyboard+mouse are slower than smartphone key in. laugh.gif

PS: Next time you should call via unifi mobile, 100 on unifi mobile is free. tongue.gif

eh, if you still have the Netflix logged in on the UPB (i hope you didn't have the app removed or logged out yet).

Browse to "Notifications", you should see "Get Help" somewhere bottom right.

There is "Contact Us". There is a code number there. That number is unique for that point of time you are seeing that screen.
see image below.

user posted image

I am hoping Netflix can help you reset password FIRST, so you can login to the account of that stupendous email. the ultimate goal is to replace that tttt...@gmail with something else you have control over.

(or why not you just attempt to really create tttttt...@gmail account and really have access to reset password etc of this netflix account)

Try call Netflix and see if they are able to help you gain access by password reset. You might need them to create a password on your behalf since if they send email link to reset password, you can't receive it anyway.

OR, get them to immediately change ttttt...@gmail to something else that you have access to (might need to create that email address before you call netflix).

--

impress Netflix on these points:
• Your UPB should be the only device ever logged in to the account
• ... ever since its creation
• ... somebody had created Netflix account without your permission
• ... on android tv device that is provided by and linked to your unifi subscription
• ... you have been charged by Unifi ever since
• ... that email address is stupendously stupid and definitely you will never have access to such email in the first place
• ... and you can prove you have immediate access to the device (by refreshing and reading them that dynamic number as many time they want)

--

longer term, after gaining access to this paid-by-unifi and if unifi keep refusing to remove itself as payment method;
• stop paying your pre-existing paid-by-something-else netflix account
• ... and switch that pre-existing to use another another another email
• ... swap the pre-existing email address to this paid-by-unifi netflix account
