Curious:

Dulu Modem has lifetimes warranty by TM. Now if combo box for 1gbps and above. Does it consider Router or Modem since it is combo. Does the D-Link combo come with lifetime warranty as well?
*
Yes, lifetime warranty including Unifi 10G PON (XGSPON) in the future.
All Unifi will migrate to 10G Fiber meanwhile other ISP on TM will stay on GPON

Guys, lastweek very unlucky week for my Unifi

7 May 903am - fiber cut (monkeys issue); 9 May 129pm fix
10 May 933am - LOS red; 11 May 1025am fix (technician show the patch near DP broken inside. cut place patch all ok. the patch about 20cm-30cm maybe from the clip to DP). 2 patch place on my fiber.
12 May 303pm - LOS red. pending restoration 14 May.

i suspect the same problem. the 1st patch near clip broken inside. the patch near clip already hide inside DP but still broken. tired la like this. theres no monkeys playing around when both (2nd and 3rd issue) problem happened. is it my fiber cable problem or TM kontraktor patch problem?

This is the normal package as per right now : https://unifi.com.my/anytimeanywhere

If there is no free monthly waiver (example free 3 months or more) within 24 months contract, then not good.

Hi All, want to ask.

For 100mbps package, it mentioned in the website that it uses Standard Wifi 5 router.

For 300/500mbps, it uses Certified Wifi 6 Router.

May I know both using which router?

My old ASUS router the 2.4Ghz broken and caused very unstable likely 1-10mbps while 5Ghz working well. Your issue sounds possible. Can try reset the router and see again.

I've reset my Asus router too but the problem still persists.
Any remedy ?
Thanks

Proceed to warranty claims or just change a new router if the existing is out-of-warranty.

Would there be downsides to other providers stuck on gpon? Maxis already has a better 2.5gbps modem and router compared to tm anyway

I think the 9pm slowdown on UNIFI removes any benefits of an xgspon unless they can increase their foreign bandwidth

I double checked the PPPoE, it's correct. Copy pasted everything from my current router which can connect.

But if I set to bridge or even try to dial from this dlink ONR, can't connect.

When you say get a hold of TM, this one seems like must call someone who can see the backend, can get a hold of them from calling the hotline ke? Thought that one only gonna be able to reach these CSR who don't know anything other than creating tickets.
Funny thing is my old ALCATEL ONU also cannot connect now. Link light is always on, but auth light is just blinking every second. Only this fiberhome ONU works.
*
Hm interesting, there shouldn’t be any binding happening on ONU level, as ppl have tried swapping around and all and never had any issues, try checking with TM (CS) again on your side hmm.gif

Also side note, not sure if it’s just CGNAT plans but honestly my TM has been fine here in general (1Gbps plan). No obnoxious slowdowns that I can feel or see in my router statistics. Tho tbf I mostly use services that have CDNs in Malaysia/SG and rarely peer to beyond SEA, maybe hence I don’t feel the slowdowns, even with Twitch it’s been fine, lowyat a bit high ping on IPv6, which is arnd 70-80ms ping

The reasons is current Government halt Unifi expansion and give to Maxis and Allo, only way Unifi to increase number of subscriber by splitting more ratio with existing fiber, without losing much bandwidth, using XGSPON or better

Also, for Corporate and Factory, they use multiple 2Gbps line (as they hire me to install 2.5G PON Stick), so TM giving those 10G or 5Gbps Fiber instead

Depends... Going 5G

I have celcom 5g in office and it is slightly more consistent. It's a bit pricy and I'm thinking yes or um.

Hi All Sifus,
I just got my UNIFI upgrade from 800Mpbs to 1Gbps package. however in this upgrade it comes with a new D-Link DPN-FX3060V0 unit. My current setup is the old TM Huawei Modem that I paired with my own Asus RT-AX82U. My question is that if I can configure the D-Link to replace the Huawei modem only so that I could continue use my Asus router? Really appreciate the help here. Thanks.
