Free or chargeable GX Debit Card ?

According to their Product Disclosure Sheet, the new card issuance fee for a physical card is RM12, and the annual fee is RM0. However, there is a note regarding the new card issuance fee stating that GXBank's proposed fees are waived until 31 Dec 2024, or until such other date as determined by GXBank from time to time with prior notice. Therefore, I think the GX Debit Card is free until 31 Dec 2024.

To those who think they will use it a lot go ahead and apply but otherwise most will forget about it unless CC cashback is getting lower

his calc assumption min people put rm100. (in average). Confirmed some people transfer more than rm100.
but to make it easy for calc, just do rm100 per person

regarding cashback, some cc dont offer a lot of cashback on other retail. example: UOB one. only good for 4 categories but bad on other retail.(0.2%). so may be good for some people

i will be using their Debit card as my main ATM card in Malaysia as there is zero MEPS fees. This means I can use any ATMs in Malaysia to withdraw cash with zero fees.

there are regulations for them to have more or sufficient capital as collateral. this is separate from their operating capital.

benefits, promos, Cashback are part of budgeted marketing fund. like many others, it will eventually run out and they need to start monetizing from you and your money.

all current surge of customers are non-organic growth. all want the rewards now good numbers for PR shout. whoever has deeper pocket, can do longer.

real test is when goodies are gone, fees start imposing , etc

then measure organic growth rate, churn rate, etc

did not face that issue. the app is smooth & registration completed less than 5 min. u might want to check your phone especially if you are using android phone
