guys, since i have a Dell XPS M1330, with rather high spec, (well, at least it was top end spec on march 2008), i was wondering if it will work similar to this Dvico 7000 as i m on tight budget for my new house.

its equip with 4GB ram, running vista, with Geforce 8400MS with HDMI output. so if it works as good as, i might just use my laptop with a additional HDD... hmm, maybe i shd borrow my frenz 6500, download a few movie and try to play 1st.

I think even high spec no use cos your video card chip can't do audio over HDMI..

if you running 720p files and normal avi files should be no problem..
but looking at your setup , u won't be downloading a lot of 1080 files as those files are above 9gb... and this files might be a problem for your notebook
so i don't see any problems with what you want to do....

yeah like those cheapo RM200-300 ATI cards, even low spec proc like 1.6G DC, also never mind, cos use MPC-HC software can utilize the GC performance for decoding...
