QUOTE(htkaki @ Jan 25 2009, 08:19 AM) There is another BDP in the shop since October 08(I wouldn't want to mention the brand). They lend to us in order to demo 1080p on their LCD TVs. However, not interested in this one. Hopefully, there will be a profile 2.0 BDP How much, bro? Added on January 25, 2009, 4:53 pmUpdates : The 4100 was updated with the latest fw. Tried m2ts files. Some (Elton) is ok but some (Rat) judders. Hmm... I guess have to go for 7000 or 6500. so HTkaki, with 4100, what's the audio output, can get those HD audio out? Tq for the info, arishem
QUOTE(ar188 @ Jan 25 2009, 05:12 PM) Rat is using branching m2TS files (several big M2TS files rather than one 20-35GB M2TS).. I think that causes it.. (not sure) Can't. Only DTS-ES or Dolby Digital EX at most from 4100 (except Elton John, which is PCM). Probably due to hardware limitation?so HTkaki, with 4100, what's the audio output, can get those HD audio out? what password? the only password needed on 6500a is the unit's password for FTP function. and its on the manual on where to find this.
6500a is quite user friendly. firmware upgrade can be easily done also. just dont dont do the upgrade via the network, have to put the downloaded fw into the internal HDD or use a USB thumb drive. |

I think you can also set passwords for folders so your *ahem* stuff is safe from the kids. Of course, doesn't prevent the occasional unexpected flash of boobs (like in the early part of Coming To America). Or the frequent coarse language that we try not to use around them. The kids, not the boobs!6500a is quite user friendly. firmware upgrade can be easily done also. just dont dont do the upgrade via the network, have to put the downloaded fw into the internal HDD or use a USB thumb drive. But no passwords in the default setup to stop you from enjoying the box... This post has been edited by kkm: Jan 28 2009, 01:10 PM |

HDM7000 A can easily set a password through Video Navigation maa. Just use ur remote control, acces ur Video Folder, under FUNCTION Button add Password, that's all.

don't know whether it will work with dvico digital turner .. but if it does .. another feather for features for the dvico media tank...
RM500 for 'set-top boxes' to watch free 19 RTM channels Written by zen Sunday, 01 February 2009 21:36 Datuk Tan Lian Hoe, the Deputy Information Minister announced today that members of the public who would like to receive RTM’s digital signal would need to purchase the ‘set-top box’ which cost RM500 per set. There will however be no monthly charges where RTM is expected to include some 19 free-to-air television channels. She said "We will study public views thoroughly and hope we can satisfy our viewers. We hope Malaysians can be patient as we will do our best. Most importantly we will bring the latest, accurate, fast and authentic news to our viewers," http://www.malaysiatoday.com/Latest-News/r...m-channels.html This post has been edited by andyz: Feb 2 2009, 06:50 PM |
