I am using this cooler and i have done 3.48Ghz on my e2140 with no probs with an ambient temp of 28 degrees and load of 68-70 degrees. Mind you, im pumping around 1.60V. So figure brows.gif This is a good bargain for its price. I would give it 4 stars for performance.

Guys anyone here using this CPU cooler?

user posted image

How is the performance?
Price to performance ratio?
And any other CPU coolers to consider?
*
get the LED version instead.. its better than this.. though this has a PWM attached to it

Zalman cooler is not good.Better go for Xigmatek or Tuniq Tower 120,both is good.

zalman is a GOOD cooler, but not EXCELLENT, there is a difference. take note of tat.

I would rate this three as excellent coolers
1.Thermalright 120/ifx14
2.xigmatek s1283
3.tuniq tower

Then a stock cooler is a good cooler too perhaps.

Zalman tends to be expensive and has a good build, but performance wise not recommended.

again... i have used the worst zalman cooler in its range which is the Zalman Fatality fcs7700 i think, and to be honest, it has served my OC purpose superbly well. Never look down on one of the pioneers of cooling in the market. What are your reasons for saying that its performance is not recommended?

I could OC my E6320 to 3.2GHz and yet my stock cooler is sufficient. Replacing my stock cooler with a Zalman shows almost no major temp difference. Currently using a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme. It costs roughly couple of 10 ringgit more but performs alot better. Even my ex cheaper CM Hyper TX performed better.

i think theres a contradiction to what anandtech thinks, or toms hardware... also remember there are coolers that perform well with certain systems better than others. I said thats its a good cooler, not an excellent one.. i believe that its still good coz i have used a zalman before.
