QUOTE(suicideroach @ Feb 16 2008, 11:31 PM) Hi guys, i'm in surveying a new HSF for my rig. Thinking to buy Cooler Master Hyper 212. I am using this cooler and i have done 3.48Ghz on my e2140 with no probs with an ambient temp of 28 degrees and load of 68-70 degrees. Mind you, im pumping around 1.60V. So figure Anyone use this HSF? Izzit good? Care to give some opinion please ![]() |

QUOTE(naTTan @ Feb 18 2008, 04:33 AM) Guys anyone here using this CPU cooler? get the LED version instead.. its better than this.. though this has a PWM attached to it![]() How is the performance? Price to performance ratio? And any other CPU coolers to consider? I would rate this three as excellent coolers 1.Thermalright 120/ifx14 2.xigmatek s1283 3.tuniq tower This post has been edited by a1098113: Feb 18 2008, 11:23 PM |

QUOTE(tomatos @ Feb 18 2008, 11:27 PM) Then a stock cooler is a good cooler too perhaps. again... i have used the worst zalman cooler in its range which is the Zalman Fatality fcs7700 i think, and to be honest, it has served my OC purpose superbly well. Never look down on one of the pioneers of cooling in the market. What are your reasons for saying that its performance is not recommended?Zalman tends to be expensive and has a good build, but performance wise not recommended. |

i think theres a contradiction to what anandtech thinks, or toms hardware... also remember there are coolers that perform well with certain systems better than others. I said thats its a good cooler, not an excellent one.. i believe that its still good coz i have used a zalman before.

QUOTE(rainingzero @ Feb 24 2008, 12:32 PM) copper is a good heat transfer materials, but not good in dissipating the heat to the air compared to Alu. i believe by using active mode (adding fan), it will help the copper to dissipate the heat to the air. woot.... IMHO, ur casing which is CM690 got good airflow. with a lot of intake and exhaust fans, its help ur copper ninja to cool down. maybe thats why u can't see major diff when u mount fan to ur copper ninja... should be able to fit any motherboard.. so yours should not be a problem at all. The AC Freezer 7 fan should face the rams.. instead.

no way man, with the clocks i am at , ithe stock will burn
Added on March 9, 2008, 3:14 amcm hyper 212 does fit mid towers. you should place two fans and make it push pull, it gives you super results. This post has been edited by a1098113: Mar 9 2008, 03:14 AM |

i did get a second fan.. because its works welll with a two fan setup.. soon u will know about the "push =pull" factor in cooling setups. So yeah its better later on when u have enough money, get two similar fans and plug them in and work it out
