QUOTE(Omochao @ Nov 11 2023, 08:06 AM) Maybe fiberhome router software is not compatible or user friendly. If it works then it works for you, if not, just have to find another solution, furthermore, definitely by using your old TP-link is going to be better and more stable. I doubt this fiberhome can accomodate up to 64 devices as per its spec sheet under daily usage. So is a better choice by you to use back an older router with a good reputation. Agree. Been working fine so far, about a day. Thanks for all you & others advice. |

QUOTE(shinjite @ Nov 11 2023, 10:45 AM) Something isn't right, for such a small device it can manage to hook up with a 512mb ram, wonder is that a real 512mb ram or just made to believe.QUOTE(sitescope @ Nov 11 2023, 11:01 AM) Why do that? In the router can set schedule for reboot, what day, what time, or everyday.QUOTE(phoenixxx @ Nov 11 2023, 02:08 PM) Hoping that you would do more testing and tinkering on it with the fiberhome, who knows someone else in the future might run into the same problem setting up with CCTVs.I dont run a CCTV network, so i can't share what can be done or not.. |

QUOTE(PRSXFENG @ Nov 11 2023, 03:13 PM) I do wonder what the "2 home security wifi premium cameras" are 1mth subscription - just the fibre - for 2Gbps is RM399 before discount of RM80.Actually good stuff from brands like TP-Link... Or cheap generic no names If any LYN Members pick that please show us what is given that discount is before MSAP adjustment. not seen yet price adjustment after MSAP. so you can roughly guesstimate what kind of "premium" 2 cameras that will be equivalent to a 1mth subscription. i am betting it's a Tapo. 2 Megapixels. A Vigi is already beyond equivalent to 1mth, let alone 2 units. -- I somehow have a feeling that this is a smokescreen. That there will be a better "appreciation" for those who didn't answer by 15th. This probably is to make less people who will really get better offering after 15th. Then we will really flip table. |

QUOTE(westlife @ Nov 11 2023, 06:12 PM) So there is a drop in price for 2Gbps rite? Existing 2Gbps now are paying more than the reduced price? i'm not sure for those who signed up in april/may, but when i upgrade to 2Gbps in july, the fibre alone is RM399, then given discount RM80. = RM319.the tvpack is full price. last i checked, new signup since 5Oct is RM319. (prior to this, it's fibre charged in full and tvpack gets discount.) but it's not fair lah. those that uses 1Gbps only pay RM2xx, and they're expecting to get 2Gbps with no increase in fee. At the very least what TM should do is give existing 2Gbps a price revision to match the existing 1Gbps-upgrade-to-2Gbps price. |

Regarding those SWU package with tv pack add-on and doesn't get the second router unit, I think it's because the 6 months bill waiver which it's extra rm180 waive compare to those without add-on.
Just receive my bill and it's all waived. This post has been edited by apalexar: Nov 13 2023, 09:24 AM |

Just tinkering with the fiberhome sr1041f mesh again.
just found out that one of my android phone on custom fw can't connect to 2.4/5 Ghz network no matter what i do under band steering with adapt to old network card settings turned on. the only way is to turn off multi ap mode, and re-enable another SSID under basic 5ghz settings , and voila no issues running on that android phone anymore. achieving same speed like others, then I proceed to hide off the ssid. hope this helps anyone who may come across incompatibility with their devices |

Anyone suddenly got Upload Rate speed increases? For example 10mbps for 30mbps plan becomes somewhat symmetrical DL UL speed.
