who told you it's insufficient?
3870 will not die even the load temperature reach 95C.
so basically if you don't oc, your card most likely will be fine with default bios.

mine reach 100C for jst playing SUDEKI (fan speed set at fix 35)

Crysis, will reach 100C easily with the stock fan speed of 25-30

very hot card indeed.

I have tried ATI tool to set fan speed, auto fan speed wont work. Switch back to RIVA tunner and set it to Fix 40 for the moment.

anyone here can recommend the fix fan speed for Sapphire 3870?

set at least 60% fan speed when play games . 60% noisy is acceptable .

had the same issue, uninstall all of your ati stuff. reboot and install back,
make sure you have dot net framework 2.0 before reinstalling.

Either Enermax Liberty 500W or Gigabyte Odin GT 550W?
I've got some bad comments on the Enermax (I heard Enermax is a very good brand). Need more info on Gigabyte Odin (I need real experience rather than just google)

Pls advice and help me... notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Had the same problem. I uninstall every ATI possible, including registry edits and manually looked up every .dll available, but it still happens. In the end, I just forget about it and just install the drivers without the CCC. I use Rivatuner instead.

Well I run nearly similar setup and ST56F is well and stable for my usage.
Great PSU I must say and price only at 330.
