If taking Gua Musang route then this speed wasn't slow coz almost half of the route is non-highway. If speed constantly at 130km/h I guess the range drop about 20%. It is actually not easy to drive all the way from PJ to KB without a stop or sometimes need multiple stop. During the rest time can charge the car, giving a 10 min DC charge should gives about 150km range which is good enough to reach the destination without fear.

I have done from Kajang - Pengkalan Chepa and then back to Kemaman from morning to evening last time. Even at the trunk road, if not in festive season, definitely drove faster than 120kmh cz the journey are very far. Only stop for refuel, taking pee and breakfast/ lunch. I cant wait to drove 100kmh if for that distance, at least not for me

If you were often driving such long distance then non of EV car suit you. I believe 90% people don't drive ultra long distance in weekly basis and short layover time. I guess even if we tekan like 130 - 140km/h Model 3 SR should still able to provide about 300km range. Stop by a DC charge with 15 min charge may able to last another 150km (Telsa official website said 282km).

Where's the best place to charge just before going uphill to Cameron?
Near Simpang Pulai especially.
Plan to not charge it in Cameron for 3 days 2 night, then come down and charge again (got the downhill regen summore)
Do share if anyone have similar experience. Thx.

Unfortunately there aren't any charging stations near Simpang Pulai but you can try charging at Gentari@Petronas Sultan Azlan Shah or ChargeSini@Festival Walk (both are nearby and of 60kW DC chargers).

For my Model 3 LR, going uphill all the way to Brinchang from Simpang Pulai only uses approximately around 26-30% of charge and going downhill from Brinchang to Simpang Pulai only uses approximately around 4-6% of charge. So logically speaking, starting your journey with around 70% of charge is more than enough.

Thanks.

Mine is SR.
Using ABRP i just checked that going from Gentari@Petronas Sultan Azlan Shah to my resort destination in Cameron - I will end up with 62% (based on Tesla calculator = 270km). So jalan2 makan angin for 3D2N, should be more than enough to come down and charge at the same EV station again.

Depends on how warranty would work, and I feel ~5% seems like too little for it to be a great deal considering it’s been run and probably from the roadshow fleet. They should knock another 5-10k off the price.

Yes, only if you are taking a loan with the 5 panel banks
Maybank, AmBank, RHB, PBB and HLB.

Yeah, I’ve noticed that locally. Companies low ball on new old stock and demo vehicles, they don’t give enough discount/rebate. I guess that is because consumers here are okay with the small savings over brand new.

Safest time to buy is just before tax holiday is over, hence after that with tax price kick in... it will never be cheaper... so wait until then.
