Anyone here can help with my question on our wipers.
What’s the typical wipers lifespan for the original Tesla wipers, and what’s some recommended brand to get after that?

Haha, so if I’m usually parked at a covered location, much longer say 2 years?
Cause I think Tesla service maintenance would also recommend to change wipers so I’m just curious.

My original pair started streaking at 8 months, and 99% covered parking.

Most recommend PIAA, but I have not tried. Can't bring myself to fork out 2xx for a pair of wipers.

Initial switch to Kamatto - but that lasted me 6 months
Now on Trapo and so far its looking better than Kamatto

3rd pair of wipers in less than 2 years. LOL

I just change every year, using those Trapo/Kamatto. I don't want to be getting wiper tracks on the windscreen laugh.gif

Don't bother with Kamatto dude. Their wipers were so bad.
So far Trapo's holding up way better

That's the complete opposite of mine. Nice to hear that mine's probably isolated.
Yup, cleaned the blades every 2 weeks. Just my bad luck I guess.
But that experience was bad enough to put me off ever trying that brand again.

Just sharing, I bought a pair of PIAA for my Honda Civic back in Nov 2019 and I’m still using it now… it’s expensive, but it’s extremely durable… (and I rarely wash car) it starting to leave streaks now and make some slight noises when it’s not that wet (tiny rain), but considering it’s over 5 years, I’m very very satisfied with it. I will get 1 for my model 3 when it’s about time to change too.

When you guys say you clean your wipers, how do you clean them?
Use wd-40 on a cloth and wipe the wipers?

I just use soap and water and wipe off dirt.
Does WD-40 work?

Wet wipes on the wiper blades. Run it few rounds until the black stuff became less or grey. It won't totally clean without residue. Unless maybe you keep rubbing it for hours. laugh.gif

mine after coating, its very juddery + the auto wipers on tesla is horrible. so i usally keep it turn off, coz the coating allows the rain water to slide faster. unless very heavy rain.

Tesla Malaysia has again changed their SuperChargers' rates. For most locations, it now has different rates for different hours.

Take The Gardens Mall for example:
- 4am-9am : RM0.80 / kWh
- 9am-11pm : RM0.97/ kWh
- 11pm-4am : RM0.63 / kWh

For regular hours, slightly increase in price (from RM0.93 / kWh earlier). Still very cheap tho. Different locations have their own set of timing & rates.

This is really good news! This pricing is almost like AC charging price set by other CPOs (typically rm1 / kwh).
Hoping other CPOs out there also adopt this approach based on peak period pricing.

Only problem with these TSCs are that it is mostly at some shopping mall in klang valley.
