Ok... got to look for volunteer already... ke ke ke.....
i have a question... i notice alot of people here using 3800+ and can OC until 3.4GHz above.... does this means the 3800+ at 3.4GHz can out perform the stock 6000+ running at 3GHz?

sometime higher clock does not mean better

need see ur ram setting also~

using divider 800 clock to 3.0 is better than divider 400 @ 3.0Ghz..

i think pWs have prove this b4

I think so. wub.gif wub.gif
But bear in mind that, 6000+ L2 cache is 2MB together IIANM.

Provided that 3800 clocked @ 3GHz same as 6000+, 6000+ only win by a bit. whistling.gif

can try biostar OC tool but not recommended. This program is too buggy and lame sad.gif

yeah.. the menu can only change the bus speed, and cpu and ram voltage... i am sure this is not ment for hard OCers
by the way, the display CPU voltage and the CPUz varies also....

any third party OC tool? i notice in forum alot of people use ClockGen...

TF7050 is lack of something compare to TA690G

a) current version of clockgen is not supported
b) max vdimm 2.44v only
c) HT link cannot oc as high as TA690G
d) integrated gc performance lose to TA690G

other than that , TF7050 is superb. It pawns other older TF series mobo (TF590, 570,550 and all others) for sure in term of overclocking brows.gif

but if i were you , i will change my mobo to TA690G brows.gif ( that's wat i did last time laugh.gif )

There is something that might further conclude that it is the PSU problem.
Right after OC, i tested out the system with Ortho and OCCT.
I notice there is some glitches at the CPU Fan monitoring chart.
It is like a sudden drop of Fan speed...
please refer to my picture below.. could this be the PSU issue as well?

ok... actually i am not really heacy overclockers... i just want to hit the 3G line. smile.gif blush.gif
so if the PSU can solve this issue, i am kinda happy already... anyway this is my first time OC.. maybe next project i will get other better OC mobo and CPU.. brows.gif

ok, i confuse about voltage...

Voltage / Effect
1) CPU v = PROC

2) Memory v = RAM

3) HT v = ???

4) NB/SB v = ???

can anyone answer my questions???

thanks notworthy.gif

btw do you guys touch this panel wen OC?

Yup, thats the main reason most people OC-get high end power for cheap. Only hardcore OCers go further than that, spending money and even sacrificing hardware if they have to to get nothing less than the best performance that money alone cannot buy.

Wait for a new version of clockgen, eventually your board will be supported. Another way would be to use nTune (download from nvidia's website) but its only limited to 250HTT for most boards.

another newbie in OC here...wanna ask some question regarding my OC and would like to understand more in OC.huhu.. before that, here's my pc spec..

AMD X2 4000+ Brisby @ 1.0GHz stock (using stock HSF)
Biostar TA690G
2GHz Corsair ValueRAM DDR667 (running dual channel)
Asus 3850

Below is the screenshot of my settings..

My temp is 34C for Core1 & 37C for Core2 while i was running Orthos for 25 minutes as stated by Everest. sweat.gif

Screenie while i was running Orthos.

Screenie after i run Orthos.

Can i OC further? and what will be the ideal setting? I stopped at 2.1g with 1.34v. Im afraid to go further as i saw my temp is quite high (correct me if im wrong) while i was running Orthos for 25minutes.. blink.gif

Or,is that a normal temp while running Orthos? For my RAM,will it be able to handle the burden if I OC more because im using just a valueram, not OCram..huhu sweat.gif

Really need help from the experts to provide me with some knowledge. icon_question.gif I've read a few reviews in the internet, and yes,i've gained some knowledge..but i still need to know more so that I can OC till 2.5g at least...maybe~ thumbup.gif
