Every month also got few days cannot access international websites. They should add a slogan into their promotion banner:

"Maxis Wireless Broadband, best for surfing Malaysian websites!"

hmm maybe la. because when i can connect to the internet, it's blazing fast. i hope it's not temporary sweat.gif
*
it's temporary believe me... i was so happy i few days ago when my connection was suddenly able to download at 130KBps.. it only sustained for about 30secs before it fall back to the usual 20-30KBps during daytime...

QUOTE(bulibulizaimon @ Feb 20 2008, 05:01 AM)
I have try that cfosspeed before, speed does not improve much. But ping while online gaming drop a bit i mean from 500ms to 450ms  thumbup.gif
*
cfosspeed is not going to help in this... cfosspeed is suppose to be a software based bandwidth shaper... if you are having problems torrenting and playing online games is the time u try cfosspeed...

Yesterday midnight Maxis got problem with their broadband. Coz I can't receive any data although I'm connected to the internet.
*
yeah... me too.. sometime around midnite... back up when i woke up this morning... i don't know if it is only me... it seems that it now jumps back to UMTS faster than usual after a short period of idling... maybe it is just me...

QUOTE(viqq @ Feb 21 2008, 02:53 PM)
Hi guys.. I just applied for Maxis BB yesterday and found out tat it always suddenly disconnect. Is this normal? Shud I call the service centre?

One more thing, I can terminate the contract right within 7-days?
*
might most probably this few days maintenance... what did you meant by diconnect? did you see the status at the modem?

Maxis Narrowband? They should call SingleBand... all people gettting stuffed onto a single lane road...which is SHITS load of frustrations... anyways... complaining is sort of useless...

i think they should slow down on racking in the users and focus on improving their service first... if not they will just end up with loads of unsatisfied users... undeniably there are quite a huge sum of users either planning or is currently moving over to alternative ISPs (other than TM)... they should provide better services so word of mouth from satisfied users will lead to more new customers...

International sites down again. Looks like another round of crappy service from maxisbb again.

viqq, you've signed up at the wrong time as we've been having alot of disruption of service recently.

Yes, you can terminate and get your refund within 7-days.
*
Refund? Do you mean the activation fee? I was told that I'm not able to get back the RM100 activation fee.

My connection was better yesterday i suppose. Not that much DC as i encountered on the first day which was 20th Feb. Maybe it's because of the maintainence thing going on? Duno lar.. Will try the connection again today.. If still DC oftenly then must terminate the contract and prolly go for izzi or celcom or even digi edge.

7 days.yes...but your refund... well....it takes months..(.until 1 fine day, a cheque from maxis @rm79.35 - most probably after some deduction-) and i never bother to query as finally im released from the 18th months contract binding...

btw not only maxis user couldnt connect international link, even tmnet also down because of their cables problems..(20th feb)

I noticed that most of the time when maxis said want to perform maintenance onto their system, speed sure screw up afterward. And their customer service ppl also 0% knowledge on everything, not helpful and don't want to be helpful.

It is a modem + WiFi router, basically it have 2 mode,

1. As a USB mode (plug the modem to laptop USB port)
2. As a WiFi Gateway mode (use the WiFi to access Internet, have 4 Ethernet port as well)

The E270 is better as it supports HSUPA for your future needs.
