is it really this bad of maxis broadband?? i was planning to sign up for the new package... the wifi 1!! any comment of this 1?? will it be better??

im trying to connect my PS3 via my laptop with USB E220 modem thru Ethernet cable. I need maxis DNS server address.

whats maxis dns server address? where to get?

if u read all in this thread, u will come with conclusion.... maxis r not ready to provide broadband service and also celcom and the government because thay encourage people to online but they not monitor our internet performance just hear what business man said (which this business man only thinking the profit and not the quality)...

not for now... in future... not sure... there are people who DLed over 100GBs a month and as far as i know.. nothing happened to them... as i say... you won't know what might happen in future if they decide to come after you for it as they have records of your data flow month by month...

strange... mine sort of sucked after the maintenance

same here... for the past of the whole week.. max at around 200++kbps... sometimes in the early hours of the morning can regain 600++ and above kbps for a short period of time then it just falls back to 200++... frustrating... calling the support made no difference...

unless you are running on RM68 or RM78 package.. then yes it is faster...

might as well buy my own wireless AP and plug it into my current modem.. just that i can't control the DHCP server IP assignments which sucks...

dunno if they allow users more configuration controls for this E960?

Rm178 HP-Maxis Package with E220 usb modem only. Till end of this month.

E960, have 3 options to connect to your PC, 1. WiFi, 2. RJ-45 Network cable, 3. USB connection. Let me know if you need more help.

same ol' speed..around 20~40kBps after the upgrade

i think i am going to degrade my package. no point paying so much for the power package with the normal speed.
what is the cheapest package at the moment now?

i think will change my statement to upgrade to power package
my connection also rarely drop down and lost on the night
maxis not do a good job after upgrading service (if it is true lar..)

i observe tat nt oni maxis speed screw up,bt streamyx too.n d maxis phone line oso siao siao 1.send a msgs oso nd a few time.wandering they r upgrade or downgrade.BTW,d pas 2 day d speed reali cm bc n full speed.bt nw crawling again.after d upgrade,i oway connect in umts bt dulu once connect nia is hsdpa liao.my pity RM78.

Thats high for me.. try to ping continuously and then put your modem anywhere untill you get the lowest ping you could get.

Im considering on Maxis broadband. Does it support 4 comps with the power package? Coz my streamyx sux. Speed is too turtle.

Where is your location..? What speed do you gain with ur streamyx (when no one downloading/ BT'ing)?

80kbps for my streamyx when DL. Damn sux!! This speed is no ppl DL + use w/o spliter. Dats y I'm considering for a change.
