ikr haha, anyway dont give up. and start preparing for whats coming. some times beside cable, just need luck

also probably need to self reflect. like CV? most of last year fair have this one booth to review cv but damn the lines are long. so good to have someone review it and make changes. when i eavesdrop it was something about strong relevant verbs etc etc.

Ironic that cable in the form of family said don't want to help due to nepotism
but at the same time doing it for friends.

Precisely.. it is super common.. there is obvious uptick in oveasea jobs as well.  I known a number of folks leaving Msia for site job offshore, china, middle east.
*
Many gone to middle east just was informed my senior engineer colleague around 15 years experience joining EPCC Contractor in middle east as a Senior Engineer (Contract basis)

Agree, this is the brutal truth. Folks should start searching for connection instead of jobs to be frank.

Yes, for some big MNC having family connection wont help. You can get to know his/her friends instead.

Chevron acquired Hess. So I guess Chevron will be another new E&P operator soon in Malaysia, pending regulatory approval.

Honestly, i think Chevron will sell Hess's Msia operation as it is relatively small as compared to their portfolio. Possible to see CHOC goes to CPOC, so whole JDA is just Msia and Thai NOCs.

the north malay basin is a good field. plenty of gas and oil discovery there with so far only the gas being developed and produced.

who ever gets the deal from chevron if they decide to sell it off is in good stead with that block.

New platform development was planned in 2028, I was told. Due to the recent Chevron buyout of HESS, greenfield developments are shelved.

I’m wondering whether HP would be interested to buy NMB assets from Chevron if the company plans to sell off its NMB assets. HP’s assets at PM3 are close by to NMB. PM3’s previous operator, Talisman was favoured to win the NMB fields but somehow HESS got it.

Anybody knows what the engineering team is working on at Bumi Armada? Is it true that their focus has changed and no longer on FPSO?

Guyana with 3 FPSO produced more oil than Msia dah.. NMB is shallow water if it has that much, we would have been producing oil.. nevertheless, hope it materials as Msia need all money that we can..
