Wonder how the bonus and increment is gonna be like for 2024..Average brent for 2023 has been hovering around USD80 ish much lower than USD 100 ish we seen in 2022.

Kerang company is cutting on CAPEX and OPEX for the next 2 years until 2025 under new CEO..he want to increase share price and shareholder distribution..

Not sure if I should jump ship now. got one opportunity with Baker..salary wise not much difference just 10% more. according to recruiter cant top up much since my scale already high.

Hi! Been a while since ive posted here. Ive a question i would like to ask the otais here , what are your opinions on BH ?

Lets just say ive gotten an opportunity to be selected as a field engineer. All i know is that FEs get sent to buttfuck nowhere , but im unsure how BH malaysia would task their FEs.

Basically , is their early career programme any good ? Is there good career prospects ? What should i prepare ? Any experience with the final selection events ? May seem like a lot of questions but i want to be well prepared and set my expectations , basically doing a 'career' jump here so quite in a dillemma .

Also it seems like the entire programme is 36 months.

thank you

And also depends on which div. Diff div has diff allowance scheme, at least during my time previously.

Cant compare drilling guys’ allowance with measurement or analysis’ allowance. Some div worth to be buttfark over but some just not worth it.

Oh so you were a part of their program as well ? How was the final selection during your time? What are they looking for specifically actually.

Yeah , i've heard that they were major differences between the depts/div unfortunately there's no knowing what you'll get till the day comes , so luck based RNG . Not surprised if related to fluids tbh...

Also is it true that its very rigid as in no job bonus/performance bonus + tiny increments during the 3 year program?

I was not part of any program. Just direct hire when bh part of ge.

And the bonus increments also varied based on division.

Maybe can try other openings from BH , still hiring aside from their ASPIRE and LEAD programs.

A friend of mine recently got a call from BH kemaman for their operation specialist role , so there's that.

fluids is key bro in drilling, one of the important BU's. a few years with their mud school etc then branch out. i know many freelancer making big bucks as the projects increase. BUT as with our industry which is very volatile, you can be hero to zero very quick. money comes money goes so to speak. so dont take lightly of fluids.

As for the pay between different product lines, that's normal la since some tools/specialist gets more charged more compared to others. Something like niche boots & coots, 12k/day USD but you dont see a wild well every day dont you. biggrin.gif

I think there are obvious uptick of hiring on recruitment website but most of the position will be filled by people who knows the hiring team. Pretty norm.

ikr haha, anyway dont give up. and start preparing for whats coming. some times beside cable, just need luck

also probably need to self reflect. like CV? most of last year fair have this one booth to review cv but damn the lines are long. so good to have someone review it and make changes. when i eavesdrop it was something about strong relevant verbs etc etc.
