Any idea if Bumi Armada are making any legitimate inroads into floating carbon capture & storage solutions? Seems like they have been trumpeting their designs but nothing official. I know they've done some feasibility studies for Shell in Malaysia, with another partner in Indonesia, and with some power plants in UK.

well, I believe Petronas still stands as highest paid OnG Company in Malaysia.

CCS is not mandated in most countries of the world. Many contractors / suppliers are investing into it but yet to see tangible returns, especially in Asia.

The bid has been extended until June 2024..
Dont see any award in 2024..

the onshore bid will now run concurrently though I believe some delay will be on onshore side also.

Highest average for big volume of staff, but overall definitely not true at all..

I would suggest that most of the industry reports are inaccurate and I suggest you to speak to recruiters hiring for your specific post to understand the "hiring budget".

Depending on companies, it can vary by a lot... Some companies are on urgent hiring mode willing to pay more.
Others maybe paying half of the first company and position vacant for 6 months.

Thank you and yes agreed I’m sure other companies pay more at least in Malaysia.

And yes job reports salaries seem off from what I’ve seen.

About hiring budget - thanks will do this. Hoping that they’re more transparent. It’s 2024 and still salaries are treated like national security. Dunno when Malaysia will adopt the ruling like certain countries where pay range is mandatory information in the job posting.

Not true. Exxon and Shell have always paid their staff higher than Pet.

Don't expect any changes for this but you may check those anonymous pay pages on Instagram.. not so many on Oil and gas but it covers all industries..
